In this engaging, interactive, values-centered workshop, participants will learn strategies to connect to their internal compass and harness their innate wisdom, patience and tolerance for taking creative risks. Through individual writing and reflection, individual and group exercises, live and recorded music, and group discussion, we will cover: debunking the myths of process and perfection; sources of inspiration; embracing fear and the vulnerability of creative connection; letting comparison be inspiring instead of toxic; identifying and overcoming stumbling blocks; letting go of achievement-driven art and embracing intrinsic, soulful expression regardless of outcome; connecting one’s art to purpose; and allowing one’s unique perspective and voice to shine. No matter from which creative arena – painting, drawing, pottery, poetry, photography, music and beyond – each participant will have protected time and space to re-discover and re-commit to expressing their creative core.
