Take pride in who you are, even if you are slow as a tortoise; don't be greedy, and practice what you preach. These are some of the lessons taught in five of the most delightful and timeless stories by the ancient Greek writer, Aesop. These two thousand year old stories have been told around the world for generations. This version by Robert Rogers includes, How the Tortoise beat the Hare, The Fox and the Grapes, The Mother and Son Crabs, The Lion and the Mouse, and The Monkey and the Jar of Peanuts.

Stone Soup Literature- Other,
Performing Arts- Puppetry,
Performing Arts- Theater
A musical play of the old folk tale which answers the question, Is it possible to make a soup from just a stone? This version concerns a soldier who comes upon a small village of very selfish people. When no one offers to give him something to eat, the soldier uses his wits to amaze them all with a pot of boiling water and, yes, just a stone. This is a story about friendship, trust and self-reliance - three issues that couldn't be more important in today's world.
