(Self-esteem show) As a motivational program for children, this presentation is aimed at boosting the self-esteem of every student in the audience. Students are brought onstage to assist and help perform the magic themselves. Magic, comedy and puppetry are combined to convey the following points: The uniqueness of each child. It’s not what’s on the “outside” that matters, it’s what’s on the “inside” that counts. Persistence: Never giving up no matter what! Why a positive attitude is important. Program includes a section on the topic of bulling. By the end of this show, your students will feel better about themselves while believing, at the same time, that virtually anything is possible for their lives.

Gothic Romance is a literary style that was popular in the late 18th through the 19th century. They were mysteries and usually set against dark backgrounds of medieval ruins and haunted castles. The heroines are spirited young women who go to live in large gloomy mansions presided over by darkly handsome men with mysterious pasts. Rita Parisi presents in her theatrical storytelling style three Gothic Romance Tales by Kate Chopin, Emily Bronte and Louisa May Alcott. Shakespeare for the Common Core (Recommended K-8th grade) We meet the Bard as he is working on his plays “Romeo and Juliet”, “Julius Caesar”, and “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”. Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet” is the central play of this production. It is a timeless story about two young teens who find love despite the prejudice and hatred of their families. Shakespeare’s words come alive with imagination, swordplay, and romance. Through this production, we hope to introduce the students to more of Shakespeare’s works while encouraging them to overcome prejudices in their own lives.

THE WOLF IN SHEEP'S CLOTHING A hungry Wolf tries to outwit the savvy Shepherd and make a meal of the helpless, little Lamb. Helpless? Maybe not! Adapted from the Aesop Fable, this popular story is enlivened with a colorful Mexican setting, a humorous communication gap and a surprise ending!
