The Great American Magic Show History,
Performing Arts- Magic,
Performing Arts- Theater
Our American history comes alive with magic, illusion and fun when Bill Gormont presents “The Great American Magic Show” at your special event. The exciting birth of our great country is relived when Bill highlights our nation’s founding fathers, special people and important historical moments. You will watch a modern day Betsy Ross help with a hilarious flag routine. Other audience volunteers will have fun as they enjoy learning about some of our nation’s first U.S. Presidents. “The Great American Magic Show” is packed with color, surprise, laughter, and excitement. The Declaration of Independence magically appears, President Abraham Lincoln’s personal White House Chef prepares a snack and much, much more. This non-partisan show focuses on the foundation of our freedom and liberty that we enjoy to this day. It does not enter into modern day politics or current world situations. Rather, it reinforces our nation's rich history through entertaining situations filled with magic, illusion, comedy and fun for the entire family. Since 2004, “The Great American Magic Show” continues being offered to libraries, schools and military heritage organizations.

Tomorrow they crawl out of a cardboard space ship as an astronaut traveling to a far away planet. The time has never been so right for young minds to learn about all the wonderful opportunities at the library. During the performance, they’ll participate in an outer space adventure, learn how to save money and watch a drawing from an art class come to life. They’ll experience an unusual cooking lesson with a “borrowed” shoe, learn about becoming a magical artist, play a wild game with some very tricky rabbits and much more! Everyone will be talking about this entertaining program as they remember the clever ideas for creative discovery with books. The show can be used as the flagship event to kick-off your summer reading program or as an end-of-summer celebration to reward your young readers for their hard work.
