Exotic Instruments and Loopy Songs History,

Dean will show and tell about scores of exotic instruments from around the world, including West African balafon, jaw harps from the Philippines and Vietnam, conch shells, bird calls, udu drums and much more. He will create spontaneously improvised loops (recordings that repeat which can be added on to), and perform some songs from around the world. Depending on the size of the audience, there will be participation, including singing and trying out the instruments. Dean has performed for many years as a one-man band with Arm of the Sea Theater, Hudson River Playback Theater and the Cave Dogs Shadow Troupe. He is also the leader of the band Dog on Fleas.
