Zumba's dance party atmosphere creates an engaging way for physically disabled and developmentally disabled populations,including people on the autistic spectrum to get fit while having fun. The exciting rhythms of Latin, International and pop music encourage even timid participants to shimmy, shake and shout while gaining valuable personal, interpersonal and fitness benefits. Objectives include increased self-confidence, focus, coordination, mastery, self-initiative, endurance as well as having an incredibly good time. This class is taught by licensed and experienced Zumba instructor and seasoned creative arts therapist.

Teens will learn about hardware and software design for people with disabilities as they prototype and program adaptive game controllers using Makey Makey invention kits and Scratch programming. Kathy Ceceri is the author of more than a dozen books of hands-on STEAM projects, including 'Video Games: Design and Code Your Own Adventure' from Nomad Press. She also offers teen programs on sports and dance game controllers and has led the popular Makey Makey workshops at the Games in Education symposium for education professionals.

Mr. Matt Mazur is an autism intervention and early childhood music education specialist. He performs a funny, engaging and highly interactive music & movement concert for all children including children on the Autism Spectrum. We regularly work with the New York Public Library and are one of their “best reviewed programs”. Each song is accompanied by tactile, visual, auditory and humorous experiences. The show includes interactive music technology, banjo, didgeridoo, guitar and many more instruments!

Following, enjoy poems, stories, and audience involved improvisation that is sure to delight! “The Experience of the McWilliamses” Along with “Signing Fun” is “The story of the McWilliamses,” one of several stories Mark Twain wrote of this infamous couple. The audience is regaled with the humor of their experiences, which ring all too true when a simple cough from a child turns the household topsy-turvy. “The Diaries of Adam and Eve” This show features two works by Mark Twain involving Adam & Eve’s reactions to their new world. Catering to all, Mark Twain shares his views on humanity, as only he can. This humorous view of the male/female relationship takes you on a surprisingly sentimental journey from The Beginning to the bittersweet end.
