Here is a fun program exploring the history of one of America's greatest comedy teams. This program explains the history of Bud and Lou, from their introduction right through their years in Burlesque, Radio and finally the Motion Picture screen. We focus quite a bit on the WWII era films, and we also discuss their career lags, rebirth and finally their split up and solo careers. Program uses DVD footage of various routines that have made them famous, including "Who's On First", "Susquehanna Hat Company" and "Slowly I Turn, Step by Step". The History of Sci-fi in Cinema: 1940 -58 History,

This is a fantastic study of the history of science fiction cinema from the early days of silent cinema to the most recent examples of big budget effects laden fantasy films. We'll screen some digest Castle Films to exemplify Sci-Fi cinema at it's best; Man Made Monster (1940), Dr. Cyclops (1940), One Million BC (1940), as well as It Came from Outer Space (1953), Tarantula (1955), The Creature Walks Among Us (1956), and The Incredible Shrinking Man (1958). This is my second most requested show and comes with the whole two hour nostalgia memorabilia presentation and history lesson.

Vincent Price was a box office draw with his horror films of the 1950's, 60's and 70's. But many never realized that Price was being groomed for more romantic leading parts in such films as The Song of Bernadette and Laura. This program focuses on the career of Vincent Price, from his early years in Hollywood to his later years working with the notorious American International Pictures and finally his rediscovery at the hands of filmmaker Tim Burton. A combination of DVD and film presentation, we also get a look at some rare pressbooks and posters used to advertise Price's pictures, this program is the ultimate testament to one of Hollywood's greatest talents.

Red Storm Rising: Hollywood at War with Itself History,

At the height of the Red Scare, Hollywood found itself split in half in regards to political accusations and pressure to turn over suspected Communist conspirators. This program focuses on the inner turmoil that divided the Hollywood populace and left scars that still linger to this day. It also paints a vivid portrait of the atmosphere of distrust and paranoia that permeated the period, coupled with some interesting examples of anti-communist propaganda produced by Hollywood at the time. Includes clips from The Beast of Budapest (1958) as well as other memorabilia from the period.

Here is a program no one should do without. The Little Rascals are perhaps the most beloved comedy team of the 1930's. Consisting of all child actors, Producer Hal Roach created one of the most enduring series of comedy shorts loved not just by the adults who saw them theatrically but by children who later embraced the Rascals once their shorts were presented nation wide on Television. This fantastic 60 minute program focuses on the life and times of the Little Rascals, complete with a 16mm film presentation of their classic short subject Divot Diggers (1937). BILLY GILBERT - Hollywood's Forgotten Comic Genius Media- Film,

Billy Gilbert is easily one of the most recognized character actors on screen, yet so few people know anything about him. Born to Metropolitan Opera singers, Billy Gilbert was in Vaudeville since age 12, and upon being spotted by Stan Laurel during a stage show in 1929, was introduced to the world of motion pictures. He ended up working with the major comic talents of the day, including Laurel and Hardy, The Three Stooges, The Little Rascals, The Marx Brothers and W.C. Fields. He also acted along side Charles Chaplin, John Wayne and Frank Sinatra. This program celebrates Billy Gilbert's career in cinema, and utilizing various clips from his decades of work shows you why he was one of the favorite foils of Hollywood funny men.

Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, a novel of Gothic horror turns 200 years old in 2018. Join us in a birthday celebration as we examine the cinematic adaptations of Shelley's problem child. Starting with Thomas Edison's 1910 adaptation, and following through with Universal Pictures classic with Boris Karloff, we come up to the present while viewing clips of films based on Shelley's work. We will also examine a plethora of movie memorabilia as we discuss the importance of Mary's novel and its various incarnations of the silver screen. From Karloff to Christopher Lee to Robert DeNiro, we will explore it all and bask in the glory of Mary Shelley's timeless masterpiece.

Rallying Up The Troops - Hollywood and the Films of World War II: History,

Here is an excellent follow up program for those who booked the World War One As Seen Through Hollywood's Lens seminar. This program details the aim of Hollywood in its rally call to produce propaganda films that would persuade the American people to wholeheartedly join the war effort. By pulling together some of Hollywood's top talent (many of whom were already in active service via the armed forces), Hollywood proved to be vitally instrumental in drumming up the force needed to help the allies win the war. Hear the history of how all of this unfolded, and see clips from some of the most famous propaganda films produced in Tinsel Town including Casablanca (1942), Joan of Paris (1942), A Yank on the Burma Road (1942), as well as countless others. We even explore the use of loaded imagery in various other genres including musicals, horror, animation and more! Excellent program for the Memorial Day weekend and the months leading up to it.
