PUSS IN BOOTS
This classic fairy tale features beautifully crafted hand puppets, a life-sized Ogre and clever scenic design. In an original adaptation, Puss (in boots) rushes headlong into a series of misadventures, only to discover he is happiest being himself! The Spring Valley Puppet Theater production of “Puss in Boots” mixes merriment and message in a new approach to this feline favorite.
This show if followed by a demonstration of some of the puppets, both in schools and public performances.

THE LAZY FOX/EL ZORRO PEREZOSO
Can a very lazy Fox trick an Armadillo?
Perhaps...but in this Spring Valley Puppet Theater production of the Argentine folktale, The Lazy Fox, the Armadillo has a few tricks up HIS sleeve! This program features enchanting hand puppet animals and a large rod puppet Sun. This production is also available in a bilingual version: El Zorro Perezoso.

A hungry Wolf tries to outwit the savvy Shepherd and make a meal of the helpless, little Lamb.
Helpless? Maybe not!
Adapted from the Aesop Fable, this popular story is enlivened with a colorful Mexican setting, a humorous communication gap and a surprise ending!

The Spring Valley Puppet Theater has been performing for schools and libraries throughout New England for over 30 years.
Each performance combines delightfully original scripts, appealing characters, beautifully hand-crafted hand and rod puppets, lighting, music and humor. The result is highly entertaining puppet theater.
A highlight of each library program is an informative and exciting behind-the-scenes look at the technique and artistry used in puppet theater, including a demonstration of favorite characters.
In most school assembly performances, the front curtain is removed and students are invited to explore the art of puppetry through an insightful and absorbing question and answer period.
A wonderful educational experience!
Productions include Jack and the Beanstalk (1994 UNIMA Award recipient.) The Three Wishes, The Wolf in Sheep's Clothing, The Lazy Fox/ El Zorro Perezoso (bilingual,) Puss in Boots, A Holiday Fantasy.
All shows play to a maximum audience of 350.
Recommended for ages 5 and up / K thru 6th grade.
Prices range from $335 to $400 plus travel.

JACK AND THE BEANSTALK
This popular classic features beautifully crafted hand and rod puppets, colorful scenic design, special effects and an original script in which Jack, with the help of a clever Chicken, saves the day! The Spring Valley Puppet Theater production of Jack and the Beanstalk holds many surprises in this new approach to this old favorite.
Michael Graham's production of Jack and the Beanstalk was awarded in 1994 Citation of Excellence in the Art of Puppetry by UNIMA-USA, the American Center of the Union Internationale de la Marionette.
The show runs 35-40 minutes. An informative and fascinating curtain-down question and answer period can follow school performances! A demonstration of some of the puppets follows public performances.
