Explore the wonders of nature with a celebration of stories and songs for age 4 and up! Hear how the great, wise King Solomon sought help from a little bee, how watching caterpillars become butterflies as a child changed Tim's life, and more. Tim’s dramatic style of voice, movement, and facial expression brings stories to life, and his gift of encouraging participation makes for high-spirited and engaging programs. He’ll accompany songs with guitar, mountain dulcimer, and conga drum. A program bibliography will be available so that books containing the stories can be on display, and Tim will recommend them in the program to celebrate and encourage reading. Tim Van Egmond has been delighting and captivating audiences all over the country for over 30 years. He has been selected for the New England States Touring Program, the Massachusetts Cultural Council’s Education Programs, and the New Hampshire State Library's Kids, Books, and the Arts Project.

Non-stop action, physical comedy, audience participation, American Sign Language and imaginative props made from homemade objects. Multicultural Folktales are theatrically staged by professional actors before a gigantic oversized book. Kids are sent to search for books related to the show at the end of each library performance. Each 45 performance includes 2 folktales and a 30 minute rehearsal for up to 12 participants who perform in the show.

FARMER TOM has brought reading excitement to student with assemblies for schools, PARP and libraries for over 25 years! Within his unique and engaging program, involving Action and Silly Songs, Storytelling, Movement, Laughter, Learning, Sing-a-long, Props, Audience Participation and Hand Clapping, Farmer Tom Walsh inspires the students to pick up a book or use the internet(with guidance) and see how enriching, educating and entertaining reading can be! Farmer Tom Walsh educates by bringing a understanding of farm culture, safety, farm animals, history of farming, the first green industry, recycling, science, nutritional value of fresh vegetables, cooperation, working together and the fun of physical activities through music and songs from down on the farm. We really get moving!

A Celebration of Nature and all the simple things we can do to help. Tales for the Earth is a beloved performance that is both educational and entertaining. It explores topics such as Water Conservation, Recycling and Wildlife Protection. Like all of Diane's programs, the performance is tailored to suit each specific audience. Depending on the age range stories may include: What Now, Cloacina?, Diane's hilarious water conservation story about a water sprite who travels through the sewage system in search of her pond or Boy Who Loved the Swamp, based on the true story of a 5th Grade student who saves his favorite nature spot from development. In addition contemporary tales explore ways to foster a whole Earth ethic. What shines through the entire presentation is a love and respect for our place in nature; with many ideas communicated about how we can create a difference. Celebrate trees and flowering plants with this unique performance. Refreshing, lyrical and provocative In the Grove looks at the many ways different cultures have imagined the living world of trees. From a delicate tale of love celebrating the Cherry trees of Japan, to an old English song that speaks of the hidden language of flowers, to the poignant Cornish legend of One Tree Hill, we'll travel ‘round the world in story celebrating this garden of delights. Each tale is surrounded by music and songs from many lands. Get ready to explore the world under your feet in this underground puppet adventure. Tunnel down with Worm and Sprout as they discover the mysterious life found inside soil. Along the way, kids help figure out the secrets that help Sprout grow. Award-winning puppeteer, Liz Joyce, brings this ecological wonderland to life with multiple puppetry styles, projections and song. The Doubtful Sprout was funded in part by a Family Grant from The Jim Henson Foundation The Doubtful Sprout is a magical and educational show that mesmerizes children and teaches them about ecology and life cycles through art and song. Liz's performance is enchanting and engages children to the very end. As a puppeteer Liz knows how to include her audience while effortlessly working her craft. The quality of her set-up and puppets, in which the influence of classic Henson artistry may be seen, is top-notch. Children joyfully participate throughout the show and are even delighted after the show when Liz buzzes through the audience to meet them. Costumed portrayals of Clara Barton, Emily Dickinson, Amelia Earhart, and Elizabeth Cady Stanton. Each program focuses on one woman, telling about her life, visions, and contributions to society. Apropriate for ages 8 through adult. Clara Barton - portrays her activiities during the Civil War and her role in founding the American Red Cross. . Emily Dickinson - shares her thoughts about nature, personal relationships, love, and death through dialogue and her poems. Amelia Earhart - describes her passion for flying detailing some of her flights. The adult version shares her unusual view of marriage and presents her strong feelings about the role of women in society. Elizabeth Cady Stanton - describes the inequities that women experienced in the 1800s and her role in starting the first Women's Rights Convention held in Seneca Falls, NY in 1848. She stresses the need for equal rights for women, especially the right to vote. Brochures are available with further information.

Creating a children's picture book from the beginning idea to final bound book. Support materials demonstrate the stages: sewing a 32-page book dummy, making original art, galleys, press sheets, manuscripts with editorial comments to show the re-writing process. I also do writing workshops on middle-grade novels besides doing art and writing at the elementary grade level. I have had over 50 books published for different age groups.
