This program was created especially for 2016 SUMMER READING PROGRAM ON YOUR MARK, GET SET...READ! An experienced folk music performer and family literacy teacher, with a specialty in traditional American singing games, Cathy uses guitar, banjo, limberjack puppets, flute, and penny whistle in her programs which are tailored for specific age groups. She has performed for over 25 years for museums, schools, libraries and festivals. One parent’s response: You can’t help but dance! Another response: As we sang, danced, and clapped our way through a variety of folk music, Cathy's energy and enthusiasm were contagious. What a wonderful way to introduce singing games and our cultural heritage to children. We can't wait to have her back again!
