| My Story, My Song: a workshop in creativity through songwriting |
Music, Other, Performing Arts- Literary Artists |
Everybody loves songs but most people have never made one up themselves. Songwriting can be as natural as breathing … or humming – and since we all have plenty to say or should I say sing about this is a no-brainer! In this workshop we learn about the basics of song form and improvising melodies but more importantly we discover all kinds of exciting ways to access our creative impulses and turn them into song! Free-writing exercises, group collaborations, guided meditations and sensory exercises are all part of this inspiring and delightful workshop. Why is it called “My Story My Song?” – well – because it’s the stories – the ones that are central to our everyday existence that fuel the creative process and serve as the centerpiece to this inspiring experience in personal creativity.

| Green Golly & Her Golden Flute |
Life Skills- Other, Music, Performing Arts- Storytelling |
The Opinionated Parent said that this hilarious and musical introduction to classical music based on the tale of Rapunzel is "57 minutes of awesome!" That's the kind of theatrical magic that happens when you put a world class flutist (Barbara Siesel) and a world class storyteller (Keith Torgan) on the same stage at the same time! The 24/7 Mom added that this is "an awesome way to introduce children to classical music without them saying 'Mom! Turn on Hannah Montana!"

| Little Kids Little Songs |
Life Skills- Other, Music, Performing Arts- Theater |
Little Kids Little Songs is a fabulous introduction to live music, comedy and theatre for children ages two through eight and practically guarantees a wonderful time. While it's true that Little Kids Little Songs has funny and extremely interactive songs and stories from beginning to end the best thing about it is how it addresses the fear of participation and very gently gets the most timid children playing, laughing and singing before the show is even half way through. Soft, sweet, playful and funny - the original music and storytelling of Keith Torgan and the virtuosity of flutist Barbara Siesel will tickle not only the newest and youngest of audience members but anyone within earshot!
Ideal for ages 2-8
