Specters of a Bygone Era: Mansions and Castles of the Hudson Valley Part 1 History
Slide show and lecture illustrating some of the great estates and buildings and the powerful people who built them. Featured architecture varies from Tudor, neo-Gothic, Greek Revival, Moorish, and others.

Colonial Era Dutch Houses of the Hudson Valley History
a tour of the Colonial-era Dutch houses of the region focussing on Rockland and Bergen Counties. Many are still extant, but many have undergone extensive refurbishment and modifications, while others still (which are featured) have been razed. Also discusses efforts to preserve structures of this period and some failures. Gistories of the families who owned them and how they made their livings are included.

Train Stations of the Hudson Valley Region PAst and Present History
This slide show and lecture program is devoted to the largely forgotten and overlooked insitution of the local train depot. When the West Shore Line ceased operation in 1959 along with it went may train stations. Unfortunately, most of them are now long since demolished, but a few still remain as libraries, offices, and even privte residences, many of which are covered in thsi program.

Curious Rocks: Manmade or Acts of Nature? History,

A lecture and slide show on peculiar rocks and rock formations throughout North America and how they bear striking resemblances to rock formations and structures in Europe and elsewhere such as dolmen, calendar sites, and the like. By themsleves they are just curious-looking rocks, but when viewed collectively patterns merge such as nature may not have created by sheer accident.

Vanishing Landmarks of the Region History
Lecture and slide show on houses, barns, hitching posts, mansions, and many other landmarks which were local institutions that are within memory of many residents but are disappearing rapidly.

Generals and Admirals of the American Revolution History
Lecture and slide show which discusses the generals and some admirals of both sides of the Revolution and their roles and contributions. Some are big names like Washington and Cornwallis, while others are lesser known but played important roles nonetheless.

Old Mills of the Hudson Valley History
A lecture and slide show about water-driven mills of Bergen, Rockland, and Orange Counties, the people who used them, and the principles which made them work. Some made electricity, some were blacksmith shops, some were saw mills, and othrs were gristmills, tanneries, or even print shops. All are interesting and are vestiges of the days when we were still a rural community.
