Our pigeon journey started when one crash landed in my front yard as a teen. Soon my father had built a coop, collected a rag tag crew of breeding birds, and began training drives in preparation for racing. The sport lives on today and has a rich history in both war and peace time. This class includes live birds, learning how to read bands, how to train for racing, and how the racing clock works. Suitable for 2019 summer reading programs.

The ancient healing arts of yoga and meditation can help people to bring more balance into all aspects of their lives and thus, to experience radiant health and well-being. This program may be offered to students once or on an on-going basis.

Kids, bring your family, friends, caregivers, neighbors and head to your local library on foot, bike or car. Once there, Andy The Music Man will offer an age-appropriate, fun- filled, energetic, educational musical program for pre-schoolers through 3rd graders. Ready, Set, Sing! participants will sing, dance, play-act and hear stories in song as they learn about summer activities, nutrition, vocabulary, transportation, animals and much more. Children will be encouraged at the end of the program to hunt for books about the subjects they have sung about. Ready, Set, Sing! is a great combination for your mind and body.

Jump with Jill is a professional live show that travels the country transforming nutrition education into a rock & roll nutrition concert. The show is both educationally sound and completely rock & roll. Armed with catchy songs, upbeat dance moves, and a hip wardrobe, Jump with Jill uses the same tools normally used to sell junk food and keep kids sedentary to get kids engaged, moving, and learning about healthy habits. The live Jump with Jill show has been performed live 3,000 times for almost a million kids all over the United States, Canada, and Europe.

The drawing game Pictionary is mashed-up with Relay racing. Teams play against each other drawing a "round of 12 cards". The typical "all play" category found in original Pictionary is replaced with current popular books, and their characters; the other normal categories of objects, places, celebrities, verbs are also played. The players hand-off the marker as a baton- and the first team to guess all their cards each round wins. Call for more info- as this one is a little involved rule-wise. losing team each round will have to perform some sort of physical exercise (jumping jacks, etc.). Team that wins the most "rounds" of play wins.

We then will (in summer- out doors) paint like Pollock. we paint in a controlled manner,and drop cloths and washable paints are used. This "eco-friendly" program uses recycled cardboard, and supplies, brushes, etc.
