At certain points in one's life, it may become important to heal, to “empty” or “clean house” internally, in order to release old, worn-out beliefs, patterns, negative thought processes and unwarranted fears. Shamanic Journeying is the perfect way to heal old hurts, even stubborn ones, in order to experience wholeness and optimal health and well-being. Each workshop has a unique theme. Examples of themes are Seasons of the year, elements of Nature, such as water, essences of particular plants, such as pine from the forest, etc. I may lead students through a series of very gentle Yoga stretches and breathing techniques to help them to relax. We then transition into Shamanic Journeying, in order to get in touch with our innate wisdom and sense of perfect wholeness. In this state of consciousness, it becomes possible for students to gain profound insights into their own lives, those of their friends and loved ones, as well as the wider world in which we all live. Journeying as a group helps to create a safe, secure and supportive environment, in which an individual feels validated in her/his own experience.

He uses stories and songs to illustrate the importance of health and wellness -- not just for us, but also for our communities and surroundings, connecting our fitness with the quality of the food and water that we enjoy.

This is a delightful collection of the most treasured nursery rhymes, imitation songs, finger plays, action songs and musical games for the younger visitors to the library and their families. Cathy rekindles the joy of traditional musical activities that enhance learning: singing, dancing, reciting, moving in circles, playing active games, smiling, and cooperating with each other. The dancing limberjack toys are always featured for simple and captivating fun. An experienced folk music performer and family literacy teacher, with a specialty in traditional American singing games, Cathy uses guitar, banjo, limberjacks, flute, and penny whistle in her programs which are tailored for specific age groups. “This program is perfect for preschoolers!” said Robin Benoit of Fairport Public Library. (An additional version has been created as a family concert for audiences of all ages).

Participants will watch a short media that introduces them to Jackson Pollock and his art. We then will (in summer- out doors) paint like Pollock. we paint in a controlled manner,and drop cloths and washable paints are used. This "eco-friendly" program uses recycled cardboard, and supplies, brushes, etc.

Yoga is a superb form of physical exercise balancing strength, flexibility, endurance and relaxation/stress management skills. Many postures are designed to stretch, tone and strengthen particular parts of the body, and students are encouraged to respect their own particular strengths and weaknesses while exercising. The ancient healing arts of yoga and meditation can help people to bring more balance into all aspects of their lives and thus, to experience radiant health and well-being. This program may be offered to students once or on an on-going basis.

Everything in life moves because movement is a natural part of life. Electrify Your Body is an interactive movement and dance experience designed to unite students by giving them a sense of self-worth, freedom, and respect for one another. Students will learn to create their own Toolbox of Movement, cooperate with one another through Spatial Awareness exercises, and discover their own unique characters through Nathan’s Movement Animation method. Encouraging students to move is an essential step in cultivating a healthy body image and increasing self-esteem.
