Recycling trash into a Memorial Environmental Sculpture, Wings of Witness History,

Wings of Witness: Recycling for a Memorial Environmental Sculpture Participants learn about environmental issues, ethics and tolerance, by recycling soda can tabs into memrorial. 30 minute assembly for K-3 youth focusses on household recycling. 40 minute assembly for 4-12 grade includes W.W.II history with stories of courage amidst racism. Students help build a monumental Holocaust memorial out of soda tabs, symbols for those who perished. Materials are provided. Tasks: K-3 counting, sharing and stringing tabs on wires; 4-12 students make tab feathers for this massive butterfly touring the country. All become part of a team of 50,000 helpers.
