The drawing game Pictionary is mashed-up with Relay racing. Teams play against each other drawing a "round of 12 cards". The typical "all play" category found in original Pictionary is replaced with current popular books, and their characters; the other normal categories of objects, places, celebrities, verbs are also played. The players hand-off the marker as a baton- and the first team to guess all their cards each round wins. Call for more info- as this one is a little involved rule-wise. losing team each round will have to perform some sort of physical exercise (jumping jacks, etc.). Team that wins the most "rounds" of play wins.

A visual arts activity may include collage, followed by free writing or poetry and a music/movement piece to express what happened in the process of immersing into the art-making. An explanation of how using a multi-modal approach accesses different senses and expands the experience. This is a no-experience necessary program. no fear program. Music making may include hand-held percussion or stringed instruments.

This program provides patrons with a working knowledge of sheep breeds and their various uses around the world, and wool and spindle to bring home to keep on spinning! This program is suitable for 2017 summer reading.

Delicate work involves cutting a small piece of wing, mounting it in a sterling silver plating, and covering it with waterproof apoxy. Necklaces, Rings, Bracelets, Charms, Earrings, Bookmarks, Table Weights. Pieces must dry overnight, and may be taken home by the participants or kept at the library for a 24 hour period. We will also discuss what types of butterflies we are using as well as their life-cycle. This program is suitable for the 2017 Summer reading program.
