Complex animals are broken down into basic shapes, almost any animal can be created using the methods used in this program. Thinking like an animal, a CD of animal sounds help set the mood for this program. Includes a cool take-home work book, and all supplies. Last five minutes of the program includes a 'stump the artist' drawing game. Ages 5 and up.

Using a variety of songs and instruments, and her collection of 'Books That Sing', Nan's presentations are fun and informative and encourage audience participation. Complementing the 2017 NYS Summer Reading Program theme of Building a Better World, her programs this year will include songs to help build ourselves, our families and our communities through peace and friendship, cooperative work and singing together!

Winterberry farm is a fully operating sustainable farm located in Binghamton, NY. Our animals participate in an on farm petting zoo and have toured several libraries and schools around the state. I bring a miniature horse, sheep, goat, angora rabbit, goose, turkey, chicken, duck, and guinea hen; along with anything else that is new or fits in the trailer. Most of our animals are heritage breeds, there is an explanation of the history of the breed, how the animal benefits the farm, what products come from the animal, and general care and management. Kids can pet the animals learn to handle them. This program is suitable for the 2017 summer reading program.

Jasmine has been creating a poetry garden with flowers and place to sit and read. When she finds her neighborhood covered with garbage, she includes the audience's help in cleaning up: On Your Mark, Get Set, Clean! Includes a quick "backstage tour"after each show. Puppet making workshop included and optional.

Put the zing in sing this summer! For your special theme this year, I offer you my One World.... Many Songs music program. The children and I will explore songs and languages from around the world through singing, dancing, play-acting and story-telling. With insights and humor arising from the interaction and inventiveness of the kids, I use gentle lessons about understanding and caring for our world and each other. 16 years experience as a full time musician/educator. As the seagoing Captain HurriCain, Ron Cain promotes reading while celebrating the state's beaches and bodies of water. While telling tales and showing tricks from his travels, Captain HurriCain demonstrates a wacky way with water. Illusions include a container that causes water to disappear and reappear, faucets that defy the laws of nature, and an umbrella that does card tricks. Young audiences also meet Barnacle the Shark and learn about the legend of Champ the sea serpent. Since 1998, Ron has created magic shows based on the annual summer reading program theme. Each program uses magic and humor to promote reading and help children feel good about themselves. A Syracuse University graduate and former teacher, Ron has more than 16 years of experience performing at schools, libraries, companies and festivals throughout New York. He also has appeared on television’s Pappyland and Saturday Showboat. His magic shows with educational messages include Tune In To Magical Idol, Uncle Sam's Old Time Magic Show, Magic of America, Wandering Wizard Show, Magical Museum Show, Tex the Cowboy Magician's Wild West Show, and the Case of the Missing Bunny.

From a delicate tale of love celebrating the Cherry trees of Japan, to an old English song that speaks of the hidden language of flowers, to the poignant Cornish legend of One Tree Hill, we'll travel ‘round the world in story celebrating this garden of delights. Each tale is surrounded by music and songs from many lands.
