BAND CAMP / School of ROCK for teens Music
Get ready to Rock! Teens (13-18) will learn how to work together to play music. They will learn about song structure and create an original song together! Students who are unfamiliar with a particular instrument will be encouraged to write lyrics, sing, or play a percussion instrument. However, they are free to experiment with simple chords on acoustic guitar or play simple 4-note song structure on the bass guitar. Instruments will be provided, however, teens can bring their own instruments from home! All are welcome. Maximum of 10 students. May be booked as a one-time program or as a recurring weekly program/ series.

Improvising with Music Music
In this program, participants will first improvise with percussion instruments and learn about rhythm. The second half of program participants will take turns improvising on a keyboard accompanied by a chord progression on acoustic guitar played by the presenter. No experience is necessary! The participants will be guided by a few prompts and improvising only on the “white keys”. All you need is your own creativity and love of music! $150 for hour/ $200 for hour and a half. 15 participant limit works best for this program, although accommodations can be made for $10 for each participant over 15. FYI: Program can also be called "School of Rock"

SONG WRITING for Young Adults Literature- Poetry,

Teens/ Young Adults will learn song structure and have fun creating an original song! Most popular songs have only 3 or 4 chords! With the guidance of the performer on acoustic guitar, participants will create a song by first deciding on the theme and then piecing together lyrics and a melody. The formula is easy....Verses, Pre-chorus, Chorus & then Repeat! Hopefully the program will inspire others to start writing and creating other original music!

Music and sound therapy is a great way to manage stress and various emotions! Participants will listen to various genres of music, sounds of nature, and instruments, and discuss reactions. Hopefully you will take home some new strategies to relax that help to manage your emotions.
