| Mexican Celebrations: Day of the Dead |

The program offers an interactive introduction delving into Mexican culture, the history of the celebration and the types of events that are held to honor ancestors. Children have a hands-on opportunity to try on clothing and masks from the Museum’s collection, view International children's art and practice the Mexican art of paper cutting known as Papel picado.

The program invites children to learn about and compare city/urban and village/rural areas of Nigeria. Beginning with exploration children look at International youth art followed by an opportunity for children to view and examine authentic Nigerian objects. As a closure, integrating discussion throughout the program, children create a Nigerian craft.

Beginning with an interactive introduction using International children's art, children have hands-on opportunities to experience traditional clothing, authentic Chinese objects and learn about special customs of the celebration. As a closure, chldren will hold a traditional Chinese Lion Parade!
