This is a tube with four or six points on it. Wrap the yarn around and over each point until you get a tail coming out of the end of the tube.Keep going and going.....Who's is the longest? Coil to make a coaster,tie for a belt, bracelet, a rug???? Definitely not just for girls! Excellent for YA also.

Aboriginal Clap Sticks History,

The traditional music of indigenous Australians holds a lot of meaning to their culture. Music is used to teach about nature, everyday tasks, history, etc. all learned by imitation and passed on without the written word. We will make our clap sticks from paint stirrers and decorate them with traditional dot painting. Listen and play along to this time-honored sound.

Throughout history, people have used stones to tell stories, teach lessons, encourage speaking skills, and embrace imaginations. Create a set of 10 stones then join our group story telling session. Who knows where this will take us? Excellent Pre-K program with caregiver thru Adults. Workshop is adaptable to group booked.

One of my favorite recycling projects using paper, many choices of beads, silver spacers, and your creativity. The possibilities are endless: make a unisex bracelet by stringing beads onto elastic to be worn doubled on the wrist. Keep your tool and bring home anyextra beads you make for future projects. This is a wonderful workshop for grades 3 and up. YA's and Adults also!

Delicate fabric triangles filled with cotton and locally grown organic lavender perch on beaded branches. This is a fun, calming workshop with colorful fabrics, beads, and a bell for good luck! Hang by a window for peace! Basic sewing skills required, threading a needle, simple sewing. Reminder to bring reading glasses for those who need!

Available the last 3 weeks of March only! Learn about how bunnies are born and develop in the first two weeks of their life while looking at actual photos, hold and pet babies in laps and watch funny circle play time! This program is popular with the pre-school age group. It is also alot of fun for school age kids and YA's! I can discuss in more depth about caring for a rabbit, lifespan, genetics,gestational period, predator and prey, etc.

Llamas were first domesticated and used as pack animals 4-5,000 years ago by Indians in the rocky Peruvian highlands. Craft a pendant necklace as we explore the many uses of fleece from our very own Long Island Yarn and Farm llamas (Yaphank). We will read a few Llama,Llama books by Anna Dewdney and learn interesting facts about these camelids. Excellent for Pre-K with caregiver thru 5th grade.
