| Introduction to Letterboxing |
Nature- Other, Other, Visual Arts- Crafts |
Get a Clue... and go Letterboxing!
Letterboxing is a mix of hiking, map reading, treasure hunting, and rubber stamp carving. Clues to letterboxes hidden all over the world can be found by searching a couple of sites on the Internet. I introduce the hobby, describe my family's experiences, and demonstrate how to get started. As a craft for any children attending, I provide materials for the creation of an original foam stamp.

| Create a Letterbox |
Nature- Other, Other |
Get a Clue... and go Letterboxing!
During this workshop I will help attendees create a letterbox to hide within or nearby the library. I will provide the hand-carved rubber stamp and the logbook, and the participants will decide on a hiding spot and invent the clues. At the end of the workshop, the clues will be posted on the internet.
The workshop will begin with a brief introduction to letterboxing. Suitable for teens, adults, or families.
