Weather Wonders (Preschool Workshop) Other,
Science
**Weather Wonders** Wind, Water, and Heat are the three components of weather. Your mini meteorologists attempt to learn the mysteries behind our weather patterns. These are programs specifically designed for children ages 3 and 4, and take place at your location. Our only requirements are: a room that can be darkened if needed, with tables and chairs where the children can work comfortably; a small table to set up our equipment and access to water and electricity. The children perform experiments, participate in demonstrations and, for most workshops, there is a take home item for each child at the end of the program.

Shapes and Structures (Preschool Workshop) Other,
Science
**Shapes and Structures** Children will discover different shapes and structures by using different kinds of equipment like Geoboards and Magnatiles. They will create their own shapes and structures to take home. These are programs specifically designed for children ages 3 and 4, and take place at your location. Our only requirements are: a room that can be darkened if needed, with tables and chairs where the children can work comfortably; a small table to set up our equipment and access to water and electricity. The children perform experiments, participate in demonstrations and, for most workshops, there is a take home item for each child at the end of the program.

Let's Measure (Preschool Workshop) Other,

**Let's Measure** Preschoolers will learn the basics of measurement during this workshop when they get to measure all kinds of objects using balance beam scales, bathroom scales and even their own feet! Children will be introduced to the concept of estimation and take home a measuring foot to cut out with their parents. These are programs specifically designed for children ages 3 and 4, and take place at your location. Our only requirements are: a room that can be darkened if needed, with tables and chairs where the children can work comfortably; a small table to set up our equipment and access to water and electricity. The children perform experiments, participate in demonstrations and, for most workshops, there is a take home item for each child at the end of the program.

Let's Look Closely (Preschool Workshop) Other,

**Let's Look Closely** Children will discover a world that they might not have realized was there through the use of mirrors, microscopes and magnifying glasses. They will reveal hidden pictures learn about reflection and symmetry and use hand held microscopes to observe objects closely. They will take away plastic magnifying glasses to continue their exploration at home. These are programs specifically designed for children ages 3 and 4, and take place at your location. Our only requirements are: a room that can be darkened if needed, with tables and chairs where the children can work comfortably; a small table to set up our equipment and access to water and electricity. Lights On (Preschool Workshop) Other,

**Lights On** What is light? Interactive and hands-on activities will assist preschoolers to understand light. How light helps us to see, how light can change colors and that light is made up of all the colors of the rainbow are some of the concepts introduced in this workshop. **Mad Mixtures** An excellent introduction to mixtures and the science of chemistry! Interactive and hands-on activities will help the children understand that chemistry is the science of mixing things together. We will use chemistry to mix up different colors and learn to make our own dough! These are programs specifically designed for children ages 3 and 4, and take place at your location. **Water Works** Water is more complicated than it looks and through this exciting workshop children will learn all about the different properties of water. Digging for Dinosaurs (Preschool Workshop) Other,

**Digging for Dinosaurs** Dinosaurs are always a huge hit with children, especially preschoolers. They will be introduced to the differences between meat eating and plant eating animals and will have the opportunity to look at some dinosaur teeth up close. They will also work as paleontologists by participating in a mini dinosaur dig that will engage their attention as well as their scientific skills. **Adventures in Air** Preschoolers will learn that even though air is invisible it is all around them all the time. They will also learn that air has the power to both move items and to slow them down. They will also experiment with a variety of items that rely on the air to help them move, and they will put together their own airplane.
