All Mad Science workshops include a lot of fascinating equipment, supplies, and take-home materials which the children build themselves. The Mad Science mission is to spark the imagination and curiosity of children everywhere by providing them with fun, entertaining, and educational activities which instill a clear understanding of what science really is, and how it affects the world around them.

** Atmosphere & Beyond** You’ll be on a mission to explore the atmosphere on Earth, and beyond! Travel to the end of the rainbow and make a sunset! Mix up various planetary atmospheres, one molecule at a time. Discover how stars would look in space and see what makes stars twinkle using your very own “Mad Science Shimmering Star” Mad Science Enrichment Programs are fun explorations into science and technology, and they encourage informal learning through hands-on experience. All Mad Science workshops include a lot of fascinating equipment, supplies, and take-home materials which the children build themselves. Keep In Touch (Preschool Workshop) Other,
Science
**Keep in Touch** Children will learn how they understand the world with their sense of touch and will also emphasize that some objects are safe to touch while others are not. The preschoolers will be presented with the challenge of identifying a variety of objects using only their sense of touch. They will also experiment with an interesting and innovative material to model their very own creation. These are programs specifically designed for children ages 3 and 4, and take place at your location. Our only requirements are: a room that can be darkened if needed, with tables and chairs where the children can work comfortably; a small table to set up our equipment and access to water and electricity. The children perform experiments, participate in demonstrations and, for most workshops, there is a take home item for each child at the end of the program.

Listen Closely (Preschool Workshop) Other,
Science
**Listen Closely** This workshop will introduce students to the science behind the sounds all around them. Children will experiment with a wave motion model and a twirling tube to help them understand that sound travels in waves and can be heard in a variety pitches. They will also have the opportunity to learn about the everyday materials that make a variety of special effects noises in the movies and will watch, and hear, a bee buzz above their heads. These are programs specifically designed for children ages 3 and 4, and take place at your location. **Tantalizing Taste** In this exciting and interactive class, learn how taste and smell are interrelated. Learn how to map out your primary taste organ - your tongue - by experimenting with different kinds of tastes. You will then be treated to a demonstration of how your favorite sodas are created. These are programs specifically designed for children ages 3 and 4, and take place at your location.
