This super fun new program explores Nature's creative side by studying up close one of the planet's most intriguing life forms - SPIDERS! Kids will learn about spiders through slides, preserved specimens, posters, and by meeting our incredible live tarantula ambassadors. To help us better understand our eight-legged friends, one lucky member of the audience will be transformed into a spider right before our eyes! At the end of the program our new spider experts get to show off their creativity by creating a brand new spider species of their own and sharing it with the group.

Our popular on-the-move program takes place at an outdoor venue of your choosing. Programs incorporate spotlight and bat detector to fully experience the bats as they forage in the skies above our heads.

Despite their bad press, spiders are some of the most intriguing and beneficial animals sharing our planet. Their webs are architectural masterpieces of silk, their venom may hold the cure or treatment for many human ailments including diabetes, and they possess some of the most interesting adaptations found in the natural world. It has been said that at any given moment we are never more than six feet from a spider. Discover which ones are sharing your work, play, and living spaces and exactly what they're up to. With the help of slides, preserved specimens (including brown recluse and black widow), and visits with our live tarantula ambassadors we'll unlock the mysteries of these elusive animals.

CHILDREN’S SONGS & SINGING GAMES Interactive Program for Young Children Sing, move, dance and play rhythm instruments while exploring other cultures with traditional, original and contemporary songs and play-parties! This program includes a variety of traditional, multicultural, contemporary and original children’s songs designed to stimulate the imagination and inspire singing, moving and dancing. Children imitate animals, take imaginary journeys, create song lyrics and learn Spanish and other languages through call and response singing. Quiet songs and lullabies are interspersed with high energy movement songs. The program is performed on a wide variety of instruments including, guitar, banjo, mandolin, drums and harmonica. Children are often invited to play Latin, African and Native American percussion instruments.

From rain forests to recycling, conservation to compost, Earth Rhythms journeys from our own backyard to around the world with a variety of musical styles and instruments. Performed on a variety of stringed, wind, and percussion instruments, Earth Rhythms is also a multicultural journey to many lands. Hear songs, animal stories, legends and facts to the accompaniment of the Aztec rain stick, Inca flute, Russian balalaika, African drum, banjo, guitar and mandolin. The audience participates in singing, moving, and playing a variety of rhythm instruments.

Dee Ellen Lee and Frank Wind are tandem storytellers who perform for all ages - two tellers - 3 different styles. When performing for young children they use puppets and tell stories with lots of participation. Their repertoire consists of folktales and original stories tailored to please their audience. Come join the fun as Dee and Frank take you on a journey filled with the wonder and magic of storytelling.
