They will take turns playing frog guiros (a special musical instrument) and make their own music with cricket clickers.

This program will inspire young and old alike to collect coleus, jade, violet, and other easy to propagate plants, and dive into citrus and other exotics to enrich their lives and give everyone the opportunity to grow an amazing garden. Participants may bring home cuttings and seeds to sow at home or in the vacant lot next door. A Passion for Birds is a comic, interactive, educational show about adaptation. It uses realistic, handmade masks to explore how different species have evolved different shapes and behaviors to adapt to their environment. Combining his passion for nature and performance, Henry weaves through the crowd acting out the birds while explaining the hows and whys of their diverse appearances and actions. Participants get to don the masks and soar as Eagles, swim as Puffins, and stalk as Herons. Henry Lappen has been performing comedy for over 30 years. He has been an avid student of nature since childhood. In this show, he combines his love and knowledge of birds, with his comic timing, and artistry in mask making and performing. Henry studied mime, mask and clowning at California’s Dell’Arte School of Physical Comedy. He is a member of the Hampshire Bird Club and the Northeast Hawkwatch. Henry was a Great Blue Heron in a past life. In this life, he is also a tango dancer!

Bob Conrad brings to this program over three decades of experience performing educational assembly programs in schools. Using a large number of performing skills, including, Music,Puppets, Magic, and Ventriloquism, he makes learning about the importance of Recycling fun and exciting. When this serious subject is presented in a light-hearted manner, all your students will understand and remember the reasons WHY we must recycle and HOW they can help. Students young and old will be amazed by the magic and charmed by the puppet characters Gomer and Mr. Bird, and they will cheer for their classmates in Bob Conrad's Recycled Rhythm Band. The Magic of Recycling is fun from beginning to end, with an important message that will be long remembered. Bob Conrad is the author/illustrator of several educational books for children.

Ira’s environmentally-conscious rollickin’ good sing-alongs and stories are so infectious, he manages to get everyone to join in the fun. In the words of one librarian: 'Ira was WONDERFUL! He was even able to get a group of 12 year old boys to participate, which is an amazing feat!'
