Her original tunes from her first two CD’s have earned her national attention as one of the freshest, funniest, and insightful performers for kids. The Up Past Bedtime Band are a group of talented New York City musicians who can usually be found up well past bedtime playing everything from country music to punk in many of NYC’s top venues. Together they create a fabulously interactive family concert featuring funky drumming, electric violin, and silly songs about assorted childhood challenges –from accidentally losing your lunchbox to accidentally getting locked in the bathroom. Winter concerts explore sledding, sneezing, and itchy snowsuits, summer shows feature tunes about boating and baseball. Bromka, Sondra & John	Dreaming, Digging In, and Doing: 'THE ANT & THE GRASSHOPPER, AESOP'S FABLED FIDDLER' - SUMMER READING PROGRAM 2013	Music, Performing Arts- Storytelling, Performing Arts- Dance	Bells & Motley's musical storytelling performance is a Greek classic concerning the value of Dreaming, Digging In, and Doing! We all understand how our lives' pressing labors hang in a balance with the wonders of artistry and expression, through colors and sounds and dances. In our telling, we are confident that all will appreciate the carefully drawn moral concerning the value of both work & play. As we weave the tale through Ant and Grasshopper’s year in four episodes, each scene begins with the appropriate movement of Vivaldi's 'Four Seasons' evocatively performed by the artists on harp, nyckelharpa, tromba marina, and winds. The action and mystique of the tale are further highlighted by the audiences’ contributions on medieval fiddles (researched and built by the artists themselves), percussion, and dancing. At the end of our maiden performance of this show, a young fellow excitedly asked: 'Where will we all be performing this next?' Clive, Young,	Homemade Hollywood: The Rise of Fan Films	Media- Film, Media- Video, Performing Arts- Storytelling	Fan films are a new phenomenon in today's popular culture. Regular people are creating their own flicks based on their favorite movies, books, TV shows and more, using video cameras and computers to create complex, unique films. Many fan films are now high-quality efforts, sometimes costing as much as $30,000 to produce! This program introduces audiences to some of the best fan films around, featuring Batman, Harry Potter, Superman, The Matrix, Snoopy, Darth Vader and more of the world's most famous characters. I am the author of the first book about fan films, Homemade Hollywood (Continuum, 2008) and run the daily fan film blog, FanCinemaToday.com, so basically I'm the leading expert on this unusual form of underground filmmaking.	$201- $350
White, Corey	Follow your Fire!	Life Skills- Other, Performing Arts- Other, Visual Arts- Other	Imagine if feeling different in life is actually not so different. The audience will follow their own path through this workshop as they learn about being yourself, keeping it safe, oh, and did we mention Fire Dancing! Highlights of this program include audience participation, dance and acrobatics, comedy, history, as well as a question and answer portion and a trivia filled follow up web video. Follow your Fire will take the audience through their own story of learning how to follow their own path in life, even if it means going against the grain. That story is about the rich, historical cultures that modern day fire dancing comes from. The audience will even get to try what its like to warm up and spin practice poi. Then, the moment we have all been waiting for, the fire show! After our hands on fire safety section, the troupe will demonstrate all the props the audience has learned about in a display of fire and light. We will follow up with a question and answer portion plus an online trivia video for the audience to follow up with.	$351- $500
Mahoney, Daniel	Writing with Pictures Workshop	Literature- Authors, Performing Arts- Literary Artists, Visual Arts- Drawing	In my program the students learn the nuts and bolts of picture book making, from what the jacket's job is to how and why I choose the illustrations for a particular manuscript I'm working on. I share with the children everything I utilize while creating a picture book : rough sketches, story board, dummy book, and final artwork that actually goes in the book, as well the art I created that didn't make it in. Then the students become the authors as I illustrate the story they conjour up in a round robin storytelling session. I sketch it all out on a large pad of paper, then the students get to keep my art to make up stories of their own!	$501- $1000

Students are brought onstage to assist and help perform the magic themselves. Magic, comedy and puppetry are combined to convey the following points: The uniqueness of each child. It’s not what’s on the “outside” that matters, it’s what’s on the “inside” that counts. Persistence: Never giving up no matter what! Why a positive attitude is important. Program includes a section on the topic of bulling. By the end of this show, your students will feel better about themselves while believing, at the same time, that virtually anything is possible for their lives.	$351- $500
