Speed, Sonny Tornado Alley Music
Tornado Alley is a five piece acoustic band that features four singer/songwriters on guitar, mandolin, fiddle, dobro and bass and a percussionist. The songs are all original and the sound is pure Americana with a generous helping of three & four-part harmonies that is focused on the vocals and songwriting. Following that tradition, Tornado Alley offers an array of styles from the American back roads that will have you feeling like you’re on a cross-country road trip with your radio on. Tornado Alley captures the feeling in song, of traveling from New England’s folk scene to the Bluegrass Region, across the Texas prairies, up through the Rockies and out to California. Audiences at Tornado Alley’s shows have truly been caught up in the band’s sound and have helped to make a good fan base. The band has opened up for Ricky Skaggs and others and headlined at many theaters, festivals and parks

Spero, Christine Spero Plays Nyro Music
Laura Nyro was the quintessential singer/songwriter/pianist. Her groundbreaking music crossed the genres of folk, rock and jazz and she was one of the most covered artists in the 1960's and 1970's (Eli's Coming, Stoned Soul Picnic, Wedding Bell Blues, Sweet Blindness). Her tragically premature passing in 1997 shocked her fans. Finally, in 2012 she was inducted into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame. The Christine Spero Group will bring their own kind of power to Laura Nyro's music. Christine Spero has loved Laura's music from a young age when she was given Eli and the Thirteenth Confession by a radio DJ friend. She was inspired by Laura's music to be bold in writing, singing and playing piano and was the Winner of the 2004 USA Songwriting Competition in the Jazz Category. Her CDs are listened to around the world. Joining Christine will be Elliot Spero on horns and percussion, Scott Petito on bass, and Peter O'Brien on drums. The group will also be performing some of Christine's original compositions. Christine will share stories about some of Laura's songs as well as her own.
