Singing at the Beach is a great Summer show! The children bring their beach towels and sunglasses and dance to a variety of songs that incorporate the beach. “Surfing’ USA, Under the Sea, and her own original children songs about the beach. This show also has traditional children’s songs fused throughout it to get the children singing along. Each show incorporates a giant beach ball, sunglasses, Sea shells, Sand bucket Drums, a Bubble machine, Parachute and about 200 instruments. She brings children up from the audience to play with her. It’s a fun interactive show !

Dream Jam Productions presents Melody's Musical Adventure All aboard! Get ready to be swept away on this magical musical train ride that students and teachers will never forget as Melody learns about American music genres while finding her "own voice." This participatory musical theatre production, with a stirring blend of original and traditional music, features members of the acclaimed and award-winning Dream Jam Band. The train takes young Melody to the key cities that have been fundamental in the development of American music. The incomparable Dream Jam Band plays and teaches about the musical genre that originated in each city, making this a valuable and unforgettable experience for Melody and for each audience member.

The children engage in telling the story of Bamusa the Hatseller and the monkeys he met on his way. Children participate through song, movement, sounds and acting out characters in the story. After the story the children may engage in an art project of making hats using paper bags and fabric scraps.

Killion, Paul Songs for Christmas Music
Here's an all-ages program to brighten any Christmas! Paul sings your holiday favorites, accompanied by his guitar. Christmas hits as old as 'Jingle Bells' (1857) and as new as the Justin Bieber's 'Mistletoe'(2012)are heard in this performance. Singing along is encouraged but not required. Lighten your spirits and warm your heart with this classic Christmas event!

Ring, Barbara Electrify Your Strings! Assembly Program Music
This inspiring event will surely have Mark Wood or Bridgid Bibbens “electrifying” everyone with a powerful solo performance (with backing tracks). Mark on his 7-string fretted purple Viper electric violin or Bridgid on her hot pink 7-string fretted Viper. The presentation includes riveting discussions about the importance of expressing oneself through music and art, improvisational techniques, and much more, and will engage students of every level. A question and answer period follows.

The Canticum Novum Singers (www.canticumnovum.org), now in its 36th season under conductor Harold Rosenbaum, presents a concert of music and readings for the season of Advent. Six centuries of choral music by Monteverdi, Bruckner, Britten, Palestrina, and others will be presented.

This fast-paced program traces the development of the music video, from the movie shorts of yesteryear up to the big-budget clips of today. The program is illustrated by dozens of music videos from all musical genres, and includes a fun Powerpoint presentation. Topics covered include:

  • The evolution of music clips, from the 1930s to today;
  • How MTV launched and succeeded against the odds;
  • How videos and MTV changed pop culture forever;
  • The Top 10 music video clichés;
  • How the web ‘viral video’ craze is reinventing music clips;
    …and much more.

    As a highlight, the program profiles the top music video directors, showing how artists such as Dali and Magritte, and classic films like Apocalypse Now and Casablanca influenced their visions and techniques. Special attention is paid to the golden age of music videos, which began on August 1, 1981, when MTV played its very first clip, Video Killed The Radio Star, by the Buggles.

    Oldies and standards performed on electric guitar and vocals. A wonderful mix of old classics including Sinatra, Nat Cole, Temptations, Elvis, Stevie Wonder, the Beatles, and more. Can also include classic reggae and calypso with the steel drum. Realistic sounding backing tracks of bass and drums are used making me sound just like a full band. All tracks are played in the proper style of each song and nothing sounds fake or synthesized.
