These are basic foundations for the science of neurophysiology, which we will be practicing using hands on methods. The lab component involves recording action potentials in real time from an insect, and analysis of the recording to interpret results. Robotic control of an insect using neural circuits and a cell phone usually interest the most hard core bored students!
