The NATIONAL CIRCUS PROJECT provides spectacular circus performances, exciting circus skills workshops and amazing student and camper circus shows. Our incredible programs are designed to generate enthusiasm, encourage motivation and self-discipline, and to foster creativity and confidence in “children of all ages”! We are a non-profit organization that exists to preserve and promote traditional circus arts through education and entertainment. For the past 25 years NCP has provided circus arts performances, residencies, workshop programs, teacher training seminars and more to schools, recreational centers, libraries and camps throughout the Eastern US. NCP's circus education programs are presented at every grade level - from elementary through university. Since its inception, our education specialists have presented over 5,000 circus performances and conducted more than 50,000 hands-on workshops, involving almost 6,000,000 students. Our international artist exchange program brings cultural dimension to the arts experience and has included acclaimed circus artists from England, Australia, Puerto Rico, Russia, Latvia and the People's Republic of China. The National Circus Project has been recognized with a US Congressional Commendation for "helping to further the cause of international understanding" through its artistic exchange programs.

Kundalini Yoga, as taught by Yogi Bhajan is a branch of yoga which helps regulate the nervous and endocrine systems, improves focus and circulation, and moves energy in the body. Each class consists of breathing, warm-ups, yoga set of exercises (kriyas), meditation, relaxation some singing and/or chanting. This yoga helps calm anxiety, stress, depression and transform old habits into a healthier lifestyle. Kriyas vary from class to class, so no two Kundalini classes are the same! (Women & Wingspan: same workshop with female-only participants) To be human is to be creative. Even so, many of us have trouble connecting to, nurturing and prioritizing our creativity. In this engaging, interactive, values-centered workshop, participants will learn strategies to connect to their internal compass and find patience and tolerance for taking artistic risks. Activities will include facilitated exercises, discussion, writing and reflection, with music and inspiring images enhancing the environment. Themes will include: myths and the creative process, inspiration, embracing fear and vulnerability, identifying and overcoming stumbling blocks, embracing intrinsic expression regardless of outcome, connecting your art & values, and allowing your unique perspective to shine. No matter from which creative arena – painting, drawing, pottery, poetry, photography, music and beyond – each participant will have protected time and space to re-discover and re-commit to expressing their creative core.

Who has not wanted to learn how to juggle. Well it takes determination, and proper training. Starting with 1 ball all the way up to 3 ball tricks and 5 ball juggling, Jim teaches all ages and all education levels.

Angora rabbits provide the softest fiber for spinning, and enjoy being groomed to remove their long continuously growing coats. After making their very own drop spindle, patrons get to brush rabbits to collect fiber. Then they can spin the softest yarn for themselves and bring it home. Learn proper rabbit care and maintenance, along with information on how to manage your own angora rabbit farm. This entertaining and informative session includes the wisdom earned from hundreds of thousands of miles of life as a touring singer-songwriter and policy social worker. Lara will play songs from her recent recordings and walk us through a song’s journey from observation to poetry to recording. She will reflect about the creative process and the people, places and events that have inspired her, while answering our questions along the way. Lara’s themes span a broad range, including stories of misfits and underdogs, connection and courage, love and loss, hardship and hope, resilience and transformation – so most topics are fair game! (Note: This workshop can be adapted for a performing-musician audience, expanding to include music business & performance advice.)

Winterberry farm is a fully operating sustainable farm located in Binghamton, NY. Our animals participate in an on farm petting zoo and have toured several libraries and schools around the state. I bring a miniature horse, sheep, goat, angora rabbit, goose, turkey, chicken, duck, and guinea hen; along with anything else that is new or fits in the trailer. Most of our animals are heritage breeds, there is an explanation of the history of the breed, how the animal benefits the farm, what products come from the animal, and general care and management. Children come up to perform original songs with full orchestra sound as they learn to count by 10s, 5's, have a pizza party and divide by 8, brush the little paws of their doggie and add to 4. They will count by 3's dressed as chefs from all over the world. Concert will feature Danny Kaye's "INCHWORM" and "LADYBUG PICNIC" from Sesame Street. Costumes and props and a variety of musical styles make the concert a great way to reinforce the connection of math and music.

Houseplants are a fun hobby, but most have no food value. What if you could grow citrus plants like lemons, oranges, and limes right in your living room? Learn how to grow citrus, as well as bananas, pomegranates, olives, coffee, and even vanilla orchids and other spices at home. Learn what plants are hardy in your USDA zone, and whether or not they are self-pollinating or require a second plant. Participants take home an exotic plant of their choice, the last program received Arabica coffee plants.
