Robin Brickman, an award-winning book illustrator, will teach an art
class based on natural science. Everyone will use coloring supplies
on paper, cutting and shaping his or her piece, and then adding a pin
to its back. The pins can be made into any natural item, such as flowers or insects. They can be lovely or quirky. Accuracy will be encouraged.

Participants pretend to be birds to test different models of bird beaks.
By using their 'beaks' (spoons, chopsticks, tweezers) students attempt to pick up various types of food. This is a fun way to understand adaptation and biodiversity!
Participants take home the materials & directions to make their own bird feeder.

I will teach them how to create a flying journey as we explore where all their daily things come from. Bring a USB storage device to save it and take it home to share with family and friends.

This show contains circus arts, magic tricks, intriguing visuals and upbeat music. Both are scripted with a humorous, rhythmic rhyming text, and were created with support from The Rhode Island State Council on the Arts. Marvin is now living in Fort Lee, New Jersey.

A Celebration of Nature and all the simple things we can do to help. Tales for the Earth is a beloved performance that is both educational and entertaining. It explores topics such as Water Conservation, Recycling and Wildlife Protection. Like all of Diane's programs, the performance is tailored to suit each specific audience. Depending on the age range stories may include: What Now, Cloacina?, Diane's hilarious water conservation story about a water sprite who travels through the sewage system in search of her pond or Boy Who Loved the Swamp, based on the true story of a 5th Grade student who saves his favorite nature spot from development. In addition contemporary tales explore ways to foster a whole Earth ethic. What shines through the entire presentation is a love and respect for our place in nature; with many ideas communicated about how we can create a difference.
