Inspired by Arm-of-the-Sea’s travels in Central America. CRISS-CROSSING BORDERS incorporates a handmade style of visual storytelling to portray kinship ties between animals and humans, and between people living on opposite sides of a border. Music & More from the Land Down Under takes the audience on a musical journey to Australia and beyond, as the performer plays an assortment of didgeridoos and percussion instruments, mixed with colorful stories and humor. The didgeridoo, usually a hollow tree trunk, has been played by Aboriginal Australians for at least 1,500 years, and is known for its otherworldly sound. We play a modern style, mixing fast-paced rhythms with relaxing soundscapes and organic sound effects. We also talk about the Aboriginal people and the native animals of the enchanting Land Down Under.

An interactive program of songs and dances from around the world, often sung in those languages. This program includes a PowerPoint presentation showing children from each country, or can be done with each country being marked on a world map with that country's flag as each song is introduced. Countries may include Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, European countries, Russia, and more. Instruments may include fiddle, mandolin, mountain dulcimer, limberjack, banjo, guitar and vocals.

BECOME A STAMP COLLECTOR-Each child receives an album and hundreds of stamps. They soak stamps off paper and mount dry stamps. They see rare stamps and are given pen-pals. They learn the history of postal services from a book I wrote. Stamp Collecting is the world's most popular hobby. Adults love my program. They learn the history of postal services and the intricacies of stamp collecting.

Our Latin arrangements in both English and Spanish have an irresistible blend of sophistication and fire. From the jazzy ballads of Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett, to the salsa beats of Tito Puente and Eddie Palmieri, to the funky soulfulness of Earth, Wind and Fire and Stevie Wonder, we play the sounds that span generations!

China is the birthplace of tea and it was discovered almost 5,000 years ago. During this interactive seminar, we will explore several black teas from different provinces in China. Learn what distinguishes the black teas of China from black teas in other countries, specific health benefits associated with black tea, and the history and lore surrounding the teas being tasted. Three Chinese black teas will be tasted and discussed.

He also discusses his time living in Havana as an American, something rarely seen. He answers your questions about travel, history, and contemporary Cuba. Chris holds an MA in Cuban Studies and recently founded his own Cuban travel company.
