The songs are in a number of genres -rock and roll, calypso, African American folk songs, old time mountain music, and others. Audience participation via sing-along and audience role playing with painted masks is encouraged. My singing is accompanied by guitar, fiddle and harmonicas.	$201- $350
Brickman, Robin	Art to Wear: Animals, Insects, or Flower Pins	Nature- Environment, Science, Visual Arts- Other	Robin Brickman, an award-winning book illustrator, will teach an art class based on natural science. Everyone will use coloring supplies on paper, cutting and shaping his or her piece, and then adding a pin to its back. The pins can be made into any natural item, such as flowers or insects. They can be lovely or quirky. Accuracy will be encouraged.	$351- $500

Arm-of-the-Sea, Theater	City That Drinks the Mountain Sky	History, Nature- Environment, Performing Arts- Puppetry	The epic story of water for New York City, told in the elemental beauty of mask & puppet theatre. Heralded as one of the wonders of the world, New York City's ingenious system of aqueducts and reservoirs provides clear mountain water from the Catskills to nine million downstate residents. And though the struggle over these water resources has, at times, bitterly divided city managers and watershed residents, it has also irrevocably united them. Through a shimmering tapestry of poetry, puppetry and evocative music, City that Drinks the Mountain Sky brings alive the lyrical landscape of the Catskills— to portray the on-going story of the watershed and the uneasy marriage of those who must protect its vulnerable flowing treasure. Collins, Dawn	Introduction to Aromatherapy	Life Skills- Other, Nature- Other, Science	An introduction to the art and science of aromatherapy, the history, and appropriate methods of use and safety precautions. An explanation of what are carrier oils,essential oils, flower essences, single notes and blends, where do they come from, and how are they made. There will be a display of types of actual diffusers and information about nebulizers and techniques of use. Recipes for diffusing for special purposes will be shared on handouts and participants may have the option of making a blend combining essential oils and an organic lotion or cream to use as a body or hand lotion. For seniors, an aromatherapy trip down memory lane may be especially fun. A comparison of scents will invoke different scent associations. Participants will record their memory associations and their preferences and be encouraged to share their comments.	$101- $200
Deem, James	Melting Glaciers of the World	Nature- Other	I introduce students to the subject of glaciers, by describing how they are formed, how they move, and where they are found. I discuss what people thought of glaciers long ago, in the days before science, and how, more recently, scientists have studied glaciers. I explain why scientists are concerned about the melting of glaciers now. I show comparison photos of glaciers (then and now) to show how much they have melted in recent years. I discuss the positive side of melting glaciers from an archaeological standpoint. I describe how glaciers were explored like long-lost continents, how people who have died while crossing or climbing glaciers have been discovered at the melting edge of glaciers now that they are thawing. I discuss what scientists have found out about these discoveries by studying their remains and the artifacts that accompanied them. I also discuss the problems that may be caused by the melting of glaciers (lack of drinking water and possible rise in the sea level). Tincknell, Roger	Children's Songs and Singing Games	Music, Nature- Animals, Performing Arts- Storytelling	CHILDREN’S SONGS & SINGING GAMES Interactive Program for Young Children Sing, move, dance and play rhythm instruments while exploring other cultures with traditional, original and contemporary songs and play-parties! This program includes a variety of traditional, multicultural, contemporary and original songs that stimulate the imagination and inspire singing, moving and dancing. Children imitate animals, take imaginary journeys, create song lyrics and learn Spanish and other languages through call and response singing. Quiet songs and lullabies are interspersed with high energy movement songs. The program is performed on a wide variety of instruments including, guitar, banjo, mandolin, drums and harmonica. Children are often invited to play Latin, African and Native American percussion instruments.	$201- $350
Winter, Cathy	Write Our Own Dirt Song !	Music, Nature- Animals	We'll brainstorm what we know about dirt and gardens and weather and plants and food - and pull it all together into a song by creating our own web of ideas. Then we'll turn it into a song to take home. Cathy can work with all ages - younger ones can draw their ideas - and talk some about the editing process, how/why writers make choices as we work on the song.
