Hercules and the Heroes (Recommended K-8) Let Epictitus, the mask-maker, and Ovid, the poet, take you on a journey of the imagination, as you explore the ancient Greek heroes! Follow Greece’s greatest hero, Hercules, on his many adventures, as he battles mythological creatures and warriors. Through mask work, poetry, and swordplay, your students will discover the early stories of Greece. This play is designed to bring students closer to early civilizations by appreciating the similarities that we all share. This play stands alone and is the second is our Greek Mythology for Kids series.

Golden Gates offers audiences an entertaining and authentic glimpse into Old Russia through music, song, and dance. The repertoire is centered around masterpieces of Russian folklore and represents the diversity of the culture, ranging from gently humorous songs, to elaborate lyrical suites, to pulsating dance numbers. The program is broad and varied, with something to appeal to everyone, including audience participation though clapping and learning Russian songs and words. Lilting balalaikas, dynamic bayan accordion, unique trashotky and loshky, humorous dances, and superb vocals combine for an exhilarating and educational performance for audiences of all ages.

However, she was more than just the beautiful muse and wife to one of the greatest of the Lost Generation writers. Rita Parisi, in her one-woman original play, will pay tribute to an often misunderstood woman; a woman who was also a mother, an accomplished dancer, an exhibited artist and a published writer in her own right. *appropriate for mature teens and older. *includes some stage lighting

You the audience are an integral part of a successful rock show. Leave the lighters at home as your smile will be plenty bright to light up the room.

Theater, Open Hand Grandfather Frost's Stories of Russia Multicultural- Other,

Open Hand Theater creates original performances based on the performance traditions of cultures around the world. Grandfather Frost weaves his magic through the Russian forest in a tale spun by Baba Yaga and her mischievous cat. Featuring Vladimir Vasyagin, our international artist in residence from Tomsk, Siberia, this traditional story introduces Russian heritage through its folk characters, music and unique style of puppetry.
