"Bluegrass/Folkgrass Jamboree" - Suitable for any time of the year - we perform a variety of songs in the world of bluegrass and country music. We can include a narrative explaining the origins of bluegrass and information on the instruments used.
We can perform as a quintet, quartet, trio or duet and instrumentation can include: vocals, guitar(s), mandolin, banjo, fiddle, or bass - based on your budget and needs.
Adult Presentation - straight concert and information on the history of the music.
Children's Presentation - musical selections are geared for a younger audience and we invite them to sing, clap hands and play along with kazoos and basic percussion.

I am a family musical interactive comedian and I'm also a published author. My book is called "Spoon Boy". I also offer a workshop for teens and adults called BYOS (Bring Your Own Silverware).

Songs from the 19th and 20th centuries, describing the construction, operation, and history of America's railroads. Main repertoire source: N. Cohen, The Long Steel Rail, U.of Chicago Press, 1982. Examples: Drill Ye Tarriers, John Henry, Wabash Cannonball, Casey Jones, Wreck of the Old 97, Paddy Works on the Railway, Life's Railway to Heaven, etc. Accompaniment on acoustic stringed instruments (guitar, banjo, Autoharp, etc.). History and background is given for all songs. A program of railroad songs is presented annually for the Brighton schools; this program has recently been performed at the Strong Museum (Rochester), Heritage Square Museum (Ontario), NOMAD folk Festival (New Haven CT). Performed at Cottrell Mem. Library in Atlanta NY, 2011. Many opportunities for audience participation (chorus singing).
