She is also the creator and instructor of Writing for Children, an online course offered through 2,400+ colleges and universities around the world. In this workshop, participants will be introduced to the children's publishing industry and provided with first steps to writing for children and getting published. Includes a Q and A session. The Marvelous Mutts library program is as exciting and entertaining as it is educational. Our program offers unique public programming that is valuable for community members of all ages. The Marvelous Mutts is a team of amazing canine athletes led by Kara Gilmore and Nadja Palenzuela. The Marvelous Mutts have wowed crowds throughout the US and South America, rising from humble beginnings to reach the pinnacle of canine athleticism. The team features national and world finalists in canine Frisbee©, agility and dock diving. The Marvelous Mutts’ library shows feature Frisbee©, trick and agility stunts that will keep all ages entertained. Woven throughout these performances are stories of rescue and redemption that teach humane treatment of animals and lessons on dog safety. Our shows feature hands-on participation with The Marvelous Mutts. People of all ages learn about basic pet care and about compassion for animals from our show. No matter how large or small your space may be, or the composition of your community, your patrons will love our show.

This is a workshop for teens to teach them about the fun, fact, fiction, fantasies and frustrations of a life in music. The first part of the workshop will be Patricia speaking about the realities of a music career; the second will be performance coaching a la "American Idol". Participants will be invited to share one prepared song in front of the group; afterwards Patricia will offer gentle constructive suggestions to steer the participant towards a higher, more professional presentation.

Presented in a fun non-fearful fashion the fully scripted assembly program uses the Yello Dyno Puppet, bright visuals, and entertaining songs to help young children K-2 relax and laugh as they learn personal life skills that will last a lifetime. The benefits of the program include: education without fear through music, assuring easy learning and high recall; and learning to recognize the deceptive behavior of people who mean them harm and how to recognize the tricks of tricky people.
