THE FUNNY FAMILY POETRY SHOW is a family show that combines poetry, comedy, motivational speaking, interaction, and fun. Darren shares the inspirational story of how he became an author, shows the audience the cool books his poems are featured in, and demonstrates what people can accomplish by working hard and believing in themselves. While performing his entertaining and humorous poems for the audience, Darren engages children and parents in a variety of ways... bringing them together and keeping them laughing the entire time! * Darren Sardelli is an award winning poet, children's book author, and motivational speaker. He understands how to get young people interested in poetry and shows them the cool and humorous side of literacy. Darren's poems are known to teach, inspire, and set imaginations on fire!

Pelc, Cindy and Jim Harvest Time or Halloween Performing Arts- Magic
Pumpkins, applies and pie - it's that time again, Harvest time. Comedy magic show to celebrate everyone's fun at autumn. Option 2: Halloween show - Silly, not scary, but ooooooooooh, is that a flying ghost, or just a flying ghost silk? We shall see!

Oshlag, Rebecca and Rachel An Evening at 221 B Baker Street Performing Arts- Storytelling
An Evening at 221B Baker Street features the telling of “The Adventure of the Speckled Band,” by Rachel and Rebecca Oshlag of StoriesGalorious. Like elocutionists of earlier times, these storytellers adhere closely to the written word in their recitation and interpretation of literary works. Their performance enlivens the tale of a damsel in distress, cunning villain, stalwart companion, and hero of reason and action. Audience members unfamiliar with the plot will be engrossed by the story while admirers of Sherlock stories will be enthralled by the telling of one Holmes’ most rousing adventures. Rachel and Rebecca provide an introduction to the story, and they entertain questions and comments afterwards.

We are a performing company of six storytellers. We usually perform in pairs or individually. We pride ourselves on our large repertoire of folktales from around the world which enables us to tailor programs for any theme and for any audience. We have a special interest in seeking and telling tales of pioneer New York State. We are all children's librarians with rich experience in children's literature and storytelling. We often combine booktalking with storytelling for programs to match the NYS summer reading theme.

CREATIVITY ROCKS AT THE LIBRARY will help your young readers discover the creativity and excitement waiting for them in books. This show delivers magic and surprise as Bill shows how using the library can help them at home, in school and even with their hobbies. During the show, they’ll meet Freddie the library helper, learn how to save money and even participate in an outer space adventure. They’ll watch an unusual cooking lesson with a borrowed shoe, learn to become a magical artist, play a wild game with very tricky rabbits and much, much more! The children will discover the many clever ideas for creative discovery with books. They’ll laugh with joy AND be amazed as they get a wonderful sense that this Library Magic just might be real.

Company, Hampstead Stage Shakespeare Presents: Hamlet and Other Works Performing Arts- Theater
Shakespeare Presents: Hamlet & Other Works is a fun and accessible introduction to the works of William Shakespeare. In this production, audiences meet William Shakespeare himself! Through his witty and informative narration and scenes from his plays, we’re transported to the worlds of Henry V, Hamlet, and Romeo and Juliet. Our interactive educational tours run year-round and are performed by two professional actors, each playing multiple roles. Our scripts are original adaptations, based directly on literary classics, and include children and adults from the audience. The plays last one hour, with a question and answer session following the performance. We travel to your space and bring our own realistic sets and costumes, designed using extensive historical research, which are flexible enough to fit into any assembly/performance space.

Lupinology is hosted by our friendly talking wolf, Howler, and teaches audiences about life as a wolf, the wolf pack, the language of wolves, where wolves fit in within their ecosystem, and how they hunt. This is a highly interactive program that also involves a team building activity.

Every Hero Has A Song is a 50 minute program that focuses on Andy'e hero's, the children. In this program there will be active participation through music, dance and story telling. Children will have many opportunities to add their input while they create together. Andy's targeted age range is pre-school through 3rd grade. Block bookings are delightfully encouraged. Many references available upon request.

Drawn from cultures all over the world, Midsummer’s Magic is a story and music celebration of nature at the time of the Summer Solstice. This delightful and entertaining performance brings alive Celtic, Czech, English, Japanese and Australian legends of tree-spirits, fireflies and magical transformations. Midsummer’s Eve is traditionally a time of magic when the luminous world of fairies can join with our own. In this unforgettable story and music event master storyteller Diane Edgecomb and Celtic Harper Margot Chamberlain take us to the heart of the season on the wings of story and song.
