The Italian-born, singer and entertainer will be performing Latin Jazz pieces from the Afro-Cuban and Brazilian songbooks, including favorites such as Besame Mucho, Black Orpheus, One Note Samba, Girl From Ipanema, sung in English, Spanish and Portuguese and accompanied by extraordinary jazz musicians. Ms. Villa’s style of singing has been described as smooth, elegant, soothing and smoky. Her entertainment approach is sophisticated and fun. Soar with magical caped crusader Ron Cain in his high-flying Superhero Hocus Pocu” show! The Central New York magician celebrates superheroes from film and fiction in new magic show inspired by the summer reading program theme, Every Hero Has a Story. Young readers assist Ron with tricks demonstrating the powers of popular superheroes like Batman and Wonder Woman. One illusion features our favorite heroes battling the villainous Book Beetle, scourge of librarians everywhere. In addition to his 45-minute show, Ron has created a one-hour Super Fun with Superheroes workshop for schools and libraries. The former teacher uses activities illustrating the Superhero Code to help students tap into their super selves and become the heroes of their own life stories.

“The Adventure of the Blue Carbuncle,” the only Sherlock Holmes story to take place at Christmas, is presented. Rachel and Rebecca provide an introduction to the story, and they entertain questions and comments afterwards.

The One-Man Circus in-a-Suitcase gives everyone an opportunity to participate in an enthralling, whimsical celebration of the imagination. This show has been performed over 500 times around the globe, for family theater audiences and school assemblies alike. However, the most important performers emerge from the audience. The stories bring to life a time long past complete with its own social commentary and stating of questions that are still being asked today. Rachel and Rebecca’s literary storytelling will enchant and entertain.
