Legendary Fanny Brice- Torch Singer, Comedianne, Ziegfeld Follies Broadway Star, voice of Baby Snooks on the Radio, Golden Era Movie Star, Jewish legend and inspiration for musical/movie Funny Girl, come alive in this critically acclaimed solo show. Fabulous Fanny takes the audience on a nostalgic journey into the life and relationships of Brice and entertains with many of her popular hits including My Man, Second-Hand Rose, Rose of Washington Square, Cooking Breakfast for the One I Love, When a Women Loves a Man, Sadie Salome, as well as songs inspired by the legend herself such as Don't Rain On My Parade and People. Blackmail at Baker Street features the telling of The Adventure of Charles Augustus Milverton, the riveting story of the “king of all the blackmailers”, robbery, and a life at risk of ruin! Like elocutionists of earlier times, these storytellers adhere closely to the written word in their recitation and interpretation of literary works. Rachel and Rebecca provide an introduction to the story, and they entertain questions and comments afterwards.

The BenAnna Band provides a high energy interactive musical experience by involving the audience in free dance, organized dancing, group singing & playing various musical instruments. The BenAnna Band utilizes guitar, voice & tambourine to create a full sound but also not over stimulating for other students with various needs. Songs included are Disney classics, familiar pop/rock songs, movement songs with grounding concepts along with original songs created by the band. The program can be adjusted based on the age of the audience & will be engaging for the whole family. We pride ourselves on providing the most engaging music for people of all abilities or needs.

North Shore Theatre Group presents Greg Oliver Bodine in A CHRISTMAS CAROL -- a solo, stage adaptation of Charles Dickens' classic holiday tale. This published, critically acclaimed one-man play is enacted by Dickens himself and is based on the condensed version of the novel he used on his historic reading tours of the United States. Adapted here to offer a unique theatrical experience. One actor. One hour! Suitable for Ages 8 - Adult. Perfect for the Holiday season! 'Charming...Children will be captivated!' --The New York Times. A CHRISTMAS CAROL is being offered as part of NSTG's SOLO CLASSICS Performance Series. The program combines elements of classic literature, drama and storytelling in a solo, narrative performance format, which is designed to give audiences an exciting, live, theatrical experience that is at once immersive, enlightening and educational. Storytelling and origami together as one, two arts combined, doubles the fun! Discover Storigami with the award-winning author of ten books, including NATURE FOLD-ALONG STORIES and the new picture storybook, THE SUN, THE MOON, AND THE ORIGAMI GRAMMIE. A novelist and performing artist since 1991, Christine Kallevig folds giant-sized paper as she tells stories. Each fold represents an action, setting, or character, so by the time the story is over, a surprise origami figure is magically created. Included are audience fold-along activities, original material from her books, and origami adaptations of traditional folk tales. Christine uses music, humor, and large origami puppetry to dramatize the stories, and always finishes with an easy fold-along tale so that everyone has an origami souvenir to take home.

BJ and Company will custom design the right program for your needs. We have worked extensively with children and families and performed hundreds of shows. SUGGESTED PROGRAM … a fun introduction to the art of clowning. Barb will come and gradually change costume to become BJ the Clown. She will apply professional clown make up on three audience volunteers to show the three main clown types (whiteface, hobo, august), and have a fun discussion about the art of clowning. Beauty and the Beast is a classic French tale that tells the story of a young girl, Belle, who is sent by her father to live in a beautiful palace with an outwardly terrifying beast. The Beast must help Belle to discover his inner beauty and to help her to break the spell that has kept him locked in his beastly state. This story explores themes of family, sacrifice, trust, and love. Our interactive educational tours run year-round and are performed by two professional actors, each playing multiple roles. Our scripts are original adaptations, based directly on literary classics, and include children and adults from the audience. The plays last one hour, with a question and answer session following the performance. We travel to your space and bring our own realistic sets and costumes, designed using extensive historical research, which are flexible enough to fit into any assembly/performance space.

Live performance of covers that span the decades and resonate with a wide range of audiences and Folk-Rock driven original songs. Artists covered will include James Taylor, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Indigo Girls, Sting, Neil Young, Wille Nelson, Gregg Allman, Simon and Garfunkel, and others. All songs will be performed solo acoustic, and brief discussion of relevant historical information can also be included in this program if necessary.
