Emphasis on emergent literacy and other skills & concepts needed for school & life. Foundational statements incorporated throughout for parents to learn how activities benefit their child's development, and how parents can incorporate them into daily routine. Accoustic guitar is primary instrument, with modeling of rhythm instruments and occasional recorded sound effects to enhance the aural & visual experience.

The mystery of the African jungle, and how the animal kingdom came to be, as imagined by author Rudyard Kipling (of The Jungle Book fame). Four fanciful stories explain How the Elephant got its Trunk, How the Leopard got its Spots, How the Camel got its Hump, and How the Alphabet was Made. Hosted by a friendly Toucan, children will also meet a wily crocodile, a slimy snake among other more modest furry creatures.

Lehman Brothers, the 4th largest investment bank in the world was considered too big to fail. Wall Street expected the federal government to bail out Lehman like it did Bear Stearns a few months earlier. Then Lehman went bankrupt causing a ripple effect in the worldwide economy. Banks stopped lending. Mortgages went into default. People lost their homes. We will examine the “too big to fail” theory and the 700 billion federal bailout package. The program features the critically acclaimed PBS Frontline documentary Money, Power and Wall Street.

Licensed nail technician and State Examiner available to teach children, tweens, young adults, and adults in groups of 20 how to pedicure and decorate your toenails like a professional. There will be a demonstration and then they will be given the opportunity to practice their new skills. The kit includes: foot basin, emery board, pumice block, toe separators, orangewood stick, nail polish, and nail decorations. All kits are 100% new and sanitary.

On Day 1 we meet and discuss topics like bullying, character, integrity, cyber safety, kindness, upstanding citizenry and the like. Then we learn how to make a movie in a crash course. Day 2 the students write their script in a guided exercise completely driven by their ideas. The successive days of the program sees the single group, or the three groups consecutively per day, producing their PSA or short movie and performing all the roles (directing, camera, doc camera, lighting and grip, set design/wardrobe and continuity, sound, slate, assistant directing and acting).
