Customize your own natural body or foot scrub. Mrs. Kathy will demonstrate how to make a body or foot scrub using different scented essential oils. Participants will then pick a scent and make their own scrub and put it in a jar and decorate with ribbon. Holiday-themed scents available. Great as a gift or to keep for yourself. Some scents include coconut, lemon, vanilla, peppermint, lavender and more.

Irresistible Irish Soda Bread This class is very popular so please schedule early. Learn how to make a simple, delicious, traditional Irish Soda Bread. Each participant will make their own and bring it home to bake.

Sharpies are well-known for their permanent ink markers and pens. The ink in these will not dissolve in water. However, the ink does dissolve in rubbing alcohol. As the shirt absorbs the alcohol, it begins to pick up the ink and move it along with the alcohol as it spreads. Gloves and science goggles will be provided for fun and cleanliness.

Learn how to make mini donuts from scratch. Participants will follow a recipe and measure and mix the ingredients. Then we will make our donuts using new cutting edge technology, add the glaze and decorate. Participants will each make 3 donuts and bring them home in a bakery box.

After a demonstration participant’s will prepare all the ingredients and then use dumpling wrappers to create delicious Asian dumplings. The participants will bring them home in a tin to cook at home.

Toddler and Children's No Sew Fleece Hats for Charity (Community Service) Life Skills- Parenting,

Toddler and Children’s No Sew Fleece Hats (Teen or adult program) Participants will each make a hat to donate. They will cut, knot and tie to make a toddler or children’s size hat. The cost of the program is $350 for 20 participants. Hats will be donated to Ronald McDonald House. Community Service certificate given to each participant. Baby Blankets For Those in Need (Community Service) Life Skills- Other,

Have fun with friends while getting community service making baby/toddler blankets. No sewing involved. Participants will make them from scratch. They will measure, cut, and knot baby and toddler patterns to make a blanket. The program is 1 hour long and for 25 participants. The cost of the program is $400. This includes prep work, shopping for materials, 2 pieces of fleece for each side, scissors, rulers, clothespins, community service certificates and delivery of baby blankets.

After a demonstration, participants will follow a recipe to measure and mix all the ingredients to make the muffins. We will bake the muffins on my mini muffin maker right in the library. Participants will use pastry bags to apply their choice of colored icing. This class does require and extra 15 minutes due to baking in library.
