Music and sound therapy is a great way to manage stress and various emotions! Participants will listen to various genres of music, sounds of nature, and instruments, and discuss reactions. Hopefully you will take home some new strategies to relax that help to manage your emotions.

Learn all about the beautiful resources we have right here on Long Island! During this program, you will learn about various Long Island parks and beaches. Guided discussions about your own experiences and potential places to visit. Teens will receive a copy of a map of Long island and great ideas for places to go to experience local nature. Opportunity to exchange experience of your own favorite places around the corner that others never knew existed.

You will create your own Visual journal by expressing your own creativity with use of photos, drawings, memorabilia. Participants will bring in their own photos or a USB. Can use the internet to print out photos and words, or photocopy photos from magazines/books.

Presented by a Psychologist, you will learn effective strategies that will help manage your stress and anxiety. It is also comforting to know that many others are experiencing similar emotions. Open non-judgmental dialogue and guided discussions for all participants.

BAND CAMP / School of ROCK for teens Music
Get ready to Rock! Teens (13-18) will learn how to work together to play music. They will learn about song structure and create an original song together! Students who are unfamiliar with a particular instrument will be encouraged to write lyrics, sing, or play a percussion instrument. However, they are free to experiment with simple chords on acoustic guitar or play simple 4-note song structure on the bass guitar. Instruments will be provided, however, teens can bring their own instruments from home! All are welcome. Maximum of 10 students. May be booked as a one-time program or as a recurring weekly program/ series.
