One of my favorite recycling projects using paper, many choices of beads, silver spacers, and your creativity. The possibilities are endless: make a unisex bracelet by stringing beads onto elastic to be worn doubled on the wrist. Keep your tool and bring home anyextra beads you make for future projects. This is a wonderful workshop for grades 3 and up. YA's and Adults also!

A Taste of Japan: Patrons learn how to make Sushi Rice at home & then how to prepare & make their own Sushi rolls. They learn what kind of rice is used to prepare Sushi and what ingredients work best in making their own Sushi rolls. A Japanese dessert dumpling, Dango, is also prepared. All Patrons will taste the completed Sushi rolls and Dango during the presentation. The patrons DO NOT make their rolls but view all the steps in the preparation and creation of the rolls.

Learn aspects of atmospheric alteration that have severely dummied-down the population and contribute to memory loss, dementia and Alzheimer’s. Find out new causes of allergies, asthma, new viruses and more. Learn positive steps we still can take, and how to help strengthen your defenses.

Chickens are fascinating to kids, just ask my daughter Vienna as she walks around with one on her shoulder. Bring real live leashed chickens into your library for a fun filled, cluckingly good time! This program features chickens from around the world; Speckled Sussex from England, Blue Andalusians from Spain, Glossy Black Sumatras, Araucana from South America, Cuckoo Maran from France, and others who lay different colors and sizes of eggs. Learn the history and unique characteristics of these breeds, along with basic animal husbandry skills. Children can pet the chickens and depending on the season we bring baby chicks along.
