Welcome to the wild world of weather! Investigate why it rains, what causes lightning, and how weather can be predicted. Step into the shoes of a meteorologist, and create your own regional weather forecast. Learn about the Sun’s energy and ultraviolet radiation with the “Mad Science Sun Beads” you will take home.
Mad Science Enrichment Programs are fun explorations into science and technology, and they encourage informal learning through hands-on experience. All Mad Science workshops include a lot of fascinating equipment, supplies, and take-home materials which the children build themselves.
The Mad Science mission is to spark the imagination and curiosity of children everywhere by providing them with fun, entertaining, and educational activities which instill a clear understanding of what science really is, and how it affects the world around them.

We'll learn through songs some basic environmental facts and fun things to know. Like the fact that we are made up of mostly water, just like our planet. And what a habitat is, and what a water cycle is. We'll find out how everything is connected. We'll look at things we like that come from the earth, and maybe even play some instruments that are made of those things. We'll look a little differently at what gets called garbage, but can really be reduced, reused or recycled!

A Celebration of Nature and all the simple things we can do to help. Tales for the Earth is a beloved performance that is both educational and entertaining. It explores topics such as Water Conservation, Recycling and Wildlife Protection. Like all of Diane's programs, the performance is tailored to suit each specific audience. Depending on the age range stories may include: What Now, Cloacina?, Diane's hilarious water conservation story about a water sprite who travels through the sewage system in search of her pond or Boy Who Loved the Swamp, based on the true story of a 5th Grade student who saves his favorite nature spot from development. In addition contemporary tales explore ways to foster a whole Earth ethic. What shines through the entire presentation is a love and respect for our place in nature; with many ideas communicated about how we can create a difference.
