Madona Cole-Lacy, artist and cultural arts educator of My Time Has Come, helps students understand that how we feel about ourselves has a direct effect on the way we treat ourselves and others. Participants identify 'self-esteem busters,' and ways to protect, raise or reinforce their self-esteem. Participants design and create a self-esteem multi-media collage depicting high self-esteem based on the elements of a good design. Workshop length is 2 hours for grades 6-12.

A Library Jeopardy-type game with just ONE category; Children's Books. Form teams, then listen carefully as answers are announced by costumed program Host. Using a variety of items as buzzers, attempt to be first to correctly 'answer in the form of a question'. Sticker prizes for everyone. Adds to the fun if participants dress as favorite book characters!

Basini, Lisa Valentine's Day Mini Cup Cakes Life Skills- Food
Decorate 12 mini cup cakes using buttercream and homemade fondant that we will be making in class.Place them in a bakery box tied with a ribbon and you have beautiful cupcakes for your special Valentine!
