Created for 2008 summer reading program!!! Learn fun bug facts while creating your own insect friends using polymer clay! A hands-on fun-shop- a great way to use your imagination to make a bug (or two) to take home. Participants will use polymer clay to create a bug, and we'll bake them and they can take them home. while the bugs bake, we will do fun bug-related activities.

The Puppets lead the way to One Earth So Green and Round (Parents’Choice Award 2012) A fun, interactive concert for all ages engaging life-like wild animal puppets such as the raccoon, beaver, polar bear, iguana, chameleon, bumblebee, snake, frog and turtle. Ray Corona says Lydia and Kathy's songs are wonderfully creative, and teach children and remind adults about our precious environment and its diverse inhabitants such as: “In Alaska”, “I Am Snake”, “We Study Frogs”, “Think About the Ocean”, “Why Do Turtles Cross the Road?” and “Chameleon”. Really terrific, and their singing stands out above all! Their songs have become a creative “tool” to help Girl Scouts obtain a nature badge, music badge or environmental badge. A music CD and lyric sheets are be provided to the school prior to appearance.

With programs specially designed for libraries, Nan incorporates songs that have been made into books (books that sing), songs made from books, songs based on folk tales and stories, and songs that celebrate reading. Within that framework she offers presentations that focus on several different themes such as reading (SING A STORY-READ A SONG!), folk music (MORE THAN A SONG!), history (SINGING OUR HISTORY), and nature and the environment (SONGS FOR A LIVABLE LAND). Using folk and acoustic music and a variety of songs and instruments, Nan offers presentations that are fun and informative, and encourages audience participation.

Do you like to follow clues to solve a mystery? Do you like to search for hidden treasures? Letterboxing is an intriguing pastime combining artistic ability with treasure-hunts in parks, forests, and cities around the world. Participants seek out hidden letterboxes by cracking codes and following clues. The prize: an image from a rubber stamp—usually a unique, hand-carved creation. In this program you will learn all about this fun outdoor activity that combines treasure hunting with rubber stamping. Find clues online to uncover hidden letterboxes all over your town. Use your new skills to find a Letterbox hidden inside the library.

Interactive Educational Games - Who's That Tail? & Wild Faces. More Animal Science and fun facts using three or more specimens including skulls, furs, hides, claws, antlers, horns, eggs or feathers and focusing on a program theme of your choice. Program Themes: Adirondack Animals, Animal Stories around the World, Animals Around the Globe, Antlers & Horns, Aquatic Animals, Burrowing Animals-The Diggers, Claws & Paws, Endangered & Threatened Species, Gone to the Dogs, Horns of Plenty, Night Animals, North American Species, Marsupials & Down Under, Odd & Unusual, Out of Africa, Predator & Prey, Reptiles, Rodents & Lagomorphs, and Wiley Weasels. Tommy (Tom Gardner) from The Uncle Brothers presents an upbeat, interactive and parent friendly show, and loaded with important messages like reading, value of libraries, respect, using imagination, and many others. Having fun is our primary goal so that messages are absorbed. -Over 220 parents and kids thoroughly enjoyed your lively and entertaining music!- Jim Karge, Saratogo Springs Public Library Note: This show is different than Tommy's show for younger children because the songs are aimed at the older children (5-10), but the younger ones love it as well. The program is very similar to the Uncle Brothers family concert, except the kids are more a part of the show.

Chris the Guitarist brings traditional sing-along songs, humorous stories, and Native American tales alive with his acoustic guitar and uplifting spirit. He has delighted audiences around New York State with songs like This Land is Your Land, The Fox, The Beaver Call, Owl Moon, Mother Nature Made a Forest, Boom Chicka Boom, and many more favorites! Audiences have enjoyed being transported to another time during Chris’ lively telling of The Three Billy Goat’s Gruff and How Crawdad Got it’s Eyes. Chris will get you singing along and laughing it up! Reviews: The interactive nature of the program was the most enjoyable for both the children and parents. Your sing along songs were a great hit. I thought the program was great! - Central NY United Way. This program is perfect for our group. They get right into the activities and songs. - Wayland Free Library. It was clear that the children enjoyed themselves a great deal while learning at the same time. - Guernsey Memorial Public Library. What a wonderful performance last week; all loved it. You relate so great with the kids; a success. - Meco Elementary School.

But mostly we will have lots of fun exploring through music and some puppets how interesting this huge family of creatures is!
