We explore the world of fish with fun fish facts. While making our own fish with polymer clay! Fish are made using simple shapes, and if space and time allows we bake some of the clay fish during the program. Appropriate for ages 5 and up. Great parent- child activity!

Physical fitness meets spelling! The fast-paced spelling/word find game Boggle is combined with the childhood game of Hopscotch. Two or more teams compete against each other to find words on the game boards- and they have to hop from letter to letter to spell out their found word. Each participant hops, spells, and is challenged to think and act fast! Team gaming.

A wildly funny class for younger artists! Learn how to draw the faces and bodies of several animals. Complex animals are broken down into basic shapes, almost any animal can be created using the methods used in this program. Thinking like an animal, a CD of animal sounds help set the mood for this program. Includes a cool take-home work book, and all supplies. Last five minutes of the program includes a 'stump the artist' drawing game. Ages 5 and up.

This program can be held as a one-day workshop or mulitple-session residency. I teache the beginning skills needed to create and develop a graphic novel or short story. Drawing skills, story telling skills, creative writing and visual story boarding are taught. Age 12 and up mandatory for this program. A great way to get teens and especially teen boys to visit your library!
