Like wine, tea is a diverse and complex beverage, but many of us do not know what is available beyond the supermarket shelf. An interactive tea-tasting seminar is a great way to learn the basics and sample many of the unique and rare teas that are grown around the world. Conducted by Certified Tea Specialist, Kristine Henderson, this is the first seminar in a series of tea tasting seminars. Introduction to Tea Appreciation provides an introduction to the vast world of loose leaf tea. Topics that are covered include: brief history of tea; varieties of tea; components of tea; health benefits of tea; preparation tips; storing and purchasing tea. Attendees will taste and discuss three teas that will have been selected from a menu of teas.
