Award-winning children's recording artists, Carol Connolly and Don Darmer bring tales and tunes from around the world to audiences of all ages. Their songs and stories engage children and have them singing and clapping along. Adult listeners are enchanted by their musical stories. Together, they bring folk and fairy tales to life for their audiences. Their CD, Travelin' Down the Road, is a NAPPA Honors Award winner and an honored recipient of an iParenting Media Award. They released their second CD, Bunches of Beasts, in late 2006. It has received rave reviews in Booklist and School Library Journal. Too Marvelous For Words ~ A Tribute to Johnny Mercer Johnny Mercer began writing songs at the age of 15 and eventually became one of the foremost figures of 20th century American popular music. From the mid-1930s through the mid-1950s, many of the songs Mercer wrote and performed were among the most popular hits of the time. He wrote the lyrics to more than a thousand songs, including compositions for movies and Broadway shows. Sonny & Perley highlight favorites including "Skylark", "Accentuate The Positive", "Blues In The Night" and "Moon River".

Ring, Barbara Electrify Your Strings! Assembly Program Music
This inspiring event will surely have Mark Wood or Bridgid Bibbens “electrifying” everyone with a powerful solo performance (with backing tracks). Mark on his 7-string fretted purple Viper electric violin or Bridgid on her hot pink 7-string fretted Viper. The presentation includes riveting discussions about the importance of expressing oneself through music and art, improvisational techniques, and much more, and will engage students of every level.
