 accompanied by Marian’s original musical score “A magical combination of story and music” Potter’s tale is presented word for word,
 but included in the score are two songs with original lyrics: “Jemima” 
about the pretty duck who wished to hatch her own eggs, and 
“I’m The Fox” a hilarious soliloquy by the “bushy, long-tailed gentleman,” 
who thinks himself irresistible and invites Jemima 
to a dinner party, “all to ourselves!” And you will be captivated by the bewitching

Folk-noir musical duo Charming Disaster presents a cycle of original songs inspired by the life of the scientist Marie Curie, her research and discoveries, and their repercussions – from the struggles she faced as a female scientist, to the relationship of equals she shared with her fellow-scientist husband Pierre, to her discovery of radium and the principles of radiation, to the “radium girls” who were poisoned by their work painting watch dials with luminous paint. These songs touch on themes from Curie’s biography, the physics of radiation, and the consequences of nuclear physics in the world. Charming Disaster frames each song with contextual information in a storytelling format, with room for audience interaction and questions. Instrumentation is guitar and ukulele with male/female duet vocals.

The Syracuse University graduate and former teacher also offers other workshops that combine class instruction with hands-on activities: IT'S MAGIC! teaches kids to perform magic with ordinary objects like cards, coins and rope. Children learn simple tricks that involve chemistry, physics, biology, psychology and math. CLOWNING AROUND shows them how to have fun with juggling, yo-yos and balloon animals. THE WORLD OF HARRY POTTER gives Hogwarts fans a chance to take magical classes and play wizard games. ENCHANTED CREATURES focuses on the folklore and legends surrounding elves, fairies, leprechauns, trolls, dragons and unicorns. MONSTEROLOGY sheds light on the seven monster families and invites students to use their imagination to create creepy creatures. A GATHERING OF GHOSTS introduces students to classic ghost stories and beliefs. THE WILD, WILD WEST lets children pretend to be cowboys (and girls) and learn about Wild Bill Hickok, Annie Oakley and Sitting Bull.
