Rogers, Robert Turtle's Big Dream! Nature- Animals,
Performing Arts- Puppetry,
Performing Arts- Theater
Once upon a time there was a talkative little turtle who had an ambitious dream - to fly! He was so captivated by the idea of seeing the world from way up in the air, that he spoke about it constantly to all the other animals in the forest, wondering how he could accomplish his goal. Based on a Native American legend, this is a play about reaching beyond the every day and striving to do more, even when it seems to be impossible. Puppeteer Robert Rogers has applied all the imagination and skill that he has acquired over a 31 year career.

Collins, Dawn Mountain Dulcimer Introduction History,
Music,
Performing Arts- Other
The mountain dulcimer is a "user friendly" instrument that came to this country with our pioneer forefathers. In the first lesson, we’ll sing and play songs, and use a number system to learn (individually and as a group) about rhythm, ‘reading’ music notes for the dulcimer, and in future lessons advance to a few simple chords. Instruments are supplied for use during class.
We will use our ear and our voices in this interactive class. Dulcimers are available for use during class and may be rented or purchased for a nominal fee through instructor. If rented, they must be returned in same condition at end of class sessions. More info is available at time of contract negotiation. There is an option for building a dulcimer using a pre-made kit as part of program.

Stoll, Brian At the Barricades ~ Theatre Fans and the Stage Door Experience History,
Other,
Performing Arts- Theater
I will talk about the role theatre fans like myself have played in the theatre community over the centuries. I will share why die-hard theatre fans become repeat attenders and may see a production more than 900 times! In addition, I will inform patrons about the stage door experience which I briefly touched upon at the end of my last program, but was not able to go into detail. I consider stage-dooring to be the icing on the cake after attending a Broadway production. Stage-dooring is when theatre fans rush to the theater's stage door after a performance in hopes of meeting cast members and complimenting them on their performances. Many fans also try to obtain selfies with the stars and have their playbills autographed as keepsakes. In addition to sharing my own knowledge and experiences at many stage doors on Broadway I will include views and experiences from both sides of the barricade.
