Program description: Rosetree performs traditional Swedish and other ethnic styles of music. Rosetree consists of Amy Shapiro (fiddle/nyckelharpa) and allen lutins (guitar/clarinet). Amy, well known to the Binghamton region folk scene, plays violin and nyckelharpa (a Swedish folk instrument). Allen performs on guitar and winds with numerous acoustic ensembles in New York's central and Southern Tier regions, including Rosetree, Klezmer Kings, Cornell University Klezmer Ensemble, Bardo Brothers and Playford Gang. Amy and allen have played together since 2003. Their duo performances feature European folk music (especially Celtic, Eastern European and Scandinavian), and Old Time, Bluegrass and other 'Americana' classics. Their website is
