Program description: Author and photographer Alexandra Siy offers a STEAM inspired workshop for students ages 10 and up. InstaSTEM = interactive video conferencing + art + STEM! Students learn how to use their cell phone cameras to create original "science as art" photographs and write a compelling, scientifically accurate caption that they can post on their social media sites. The introductory program will get students started on their "science as art" adventure, but for libraries interested in offering a more in-depth workshop, please consider a four-week workshop which is offered online in the author's Fieldtrip ZOOM classroom.
Space/special requirements: students need cellphone camera; videoconferencing capability for the online workshop

Notes about the fee: The in-person introductory program is 350-500 depending on location. If you choose the 4 part on-line workshop using interactive videoconferencing the fee is 1200-1500 depending on the number of participants.
